I stopped in for a slice of pizza. The staff and owner were so friendly, and the pizza was delicious. The slice took up a whole plate. I'm glad I stopped for lunch.

We visited Cornwall on personal business, and was so glad to see that Prima Pizza was still open after almost 50 years! My sister and I used to go there when we lived in Cornwall back in the mid 1960s. The pizza is as good...as I remember it from back then! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g47539-d458455-r818855335-Prima_Pizza_Cafe_Shipping-Cornwall_New_York.html#More
Amazing Pizza!!! Food was delicious and also a perfect spot to have lunch! I know our whole group enjoyed everything we ordered. Garlic Knots are a must. I hope to go back the next time we are in the area.
This a great small place with big flavors. Their salads are fantastic and big. Pizza is definitely a must. Fresh tomato and cheese on a unique crust is outstanding. Not to miss are the Eggplant rotini. Would go back anytime. Not to forget that pizza...slices and salads are large portions.More
First let me tell you what we liked, the food, the sweetness of the young girl and the adults. Loved the fireplace attracting business and all the thank you's pinned up everywhere for donations to the community. The room reminded me of the old coal...stove type place, very small, tables were wobbly, I asked multiple times for almost everything. Young girl was clearly helping for the first time. Couldn't answer any questions without asking the 2 adults which I thought might be family. my first ?, can you seat us away from the door in a warm spot. there were a few tables, the one furtherest from the door was pilled with papers with a guy eating and doing some kind of work. I'll have a hot cup of coffee,,, after checking no decalf or regular, will take 20 min to make it if they can find it. Can I have tea?... after checking found a couple of packages all different herbal teas. Picked one, took another 15 minutes. Meal was the same deal. Glass of water, had to ask 3 times. doggy bag... I finally got up and asked the older lady. Okay got container, asked young girl for a bag 3 times to get a bag. Oh and the nice man brought us a heater over by the table(we couldn't take our coats off was too cold) but heat didn't blow out it blew up so didn't really warm us. Table got fixed so it didn't rock back and forth while we tried to sip a drink. So much more but really had I known I would have had food delivered to our hotel. they could fix all this just Putting the tasty food in a clean, temperature controlled ,organized, and update everything. have a location with staff that knows the business whether it be the cooking, the serving, the ordering, etc this could be an amazing 5+ rating eatery.More
I came to Prima on the recommendation of a former cadet at the US Military Academy down the road from Cornwall, NY. I was not displeased. It is a humble, unassuming structure on Main Street, yet it packs a punch of taste and service unmatched...by any local pizza joint I've ever been to. The buffalo chicken pizza was excellent and the service was even better. Beware, a "small" pie will feed a grown man for multiple meals. I ate a Prima for lunch, I ate Prima pizza for dinner, and I ate Prima pizza for lunch the next day. But, there's nothing negative about that aspect of the pizza!More
OK, Im gonna tell ya, you're not gonna believe me, but Im gonna tell ya anyway. On the way up to play golf amongst the golden colors of the Catskills near Storm King, my buddies, Ron and Ellis, and me needed a place to meet,...we was coming from New Jersey and Massachussettes, SO Ron says lets meet in COrnwall, and it being an off-season all the restaurants was closed except for this non-descript pizza place in Center of town, all 10 or so buildings of it.You know, golf, well it takes a lot of calories to ride in that cart, so clearly we needed some lunch. Place inside was empty on a Tuesday, wood panelling, slat tables, a comfortable set of chairs. Three hungry guys, how is the Margharita young lady. Its my favorite, the familiar refrain.Sure, expectations low in the town of Cornwall. Waters around say the Big Spenders. Out comes an order of garlic bread, its perfect but of course we City Boys just say Very Nice and proceed to empty the bowl.Several minutes later out comes a Marharita with just enough cheese to make it taste great, a crust that was as thin and close to perfection as anyplace in Manhattan, that nice char from a real coal burning stove, and topped with fresh sliced Italian plum tomatoes, and basil.Tomatoes were as sweet as could be and even though not the season, none of that acidity that you get when theyve been shipped in some boxcar. The fresh Basil played off the tomatoes, the crust, the cheese so well. This darn Pizza was perfect, Thank Goodness, I am the one not on the diet so I got, without any guilt at all, an extra piece of the eight (left one for the poor in whereever). Walked out feeling we had tasted something from a real craftsman, not bloated, just satisfied,.We went on our way, shot our 100+, and decided no Italian for Dinner, what could top that Lunch. Now comes the dilemma: it wont be The GOlden Colors of the Fall in the Catskills for another year, how do I justify the four hour drive just to sample again that Margherita, and maybe check out the rest of the menu? Best Pizza Ive had anywhere in the States, like I said, you are not going to believe me, Cornwall NY of all places. But there it is. Glad I got that off my chest.More
The veal parmesan sandwich I got was not what I was expecting. The veal was so tough it pulled out of the sandwich every time I took a bite and we asked for some sweetener to be included with our order and got nothing. The...large ice tea was anything but!More
We recently took our grandson on his first trip to NYC to celebrate his high school graduation. The trip was magical and ALMOST perfect except that he didn't get a chance to taste an authentic NYC pizza. Poor boy has all kinds of dietary restrictions...that made popping in to one of the many pizzerias there problematic. So with his birthday coming up we decided to see if it would be possible to get one delivered to us way down here in Louisiana. After trying a couple places who said that they couldn't ship a custom pizza, I found Prima Pizza and they said YES WE CAN! Special thanks to Chrissy at Prima for outstanding customer service! Ordering was as easy as pie (LOL) and the pizza arrived via Fed-Ex right on time. It was delicious...even without cheese! Best crust ever and amazing pepperoni! Grandson Luke was thrilled at this very unexpected treat. He practically ate the whole thing right then and there...and it was YUUUGE! So if you ever get a hankering for some amazing authentic New York pizza but you aren't in New York...call the great people at Prima Pizza and they will hook you up!More
Cozy restaurant, friendly service, huge portions. Be aware, the charge a service charge for credit card purchase! Just got their beer and wine license.
This place is iconic in our family because it’s the first place we ate after we viewed our ‘soon to be’ dream house. This pizza is amazing. Period. Nough said.
We thought the pizza was very good. Very tiny place to eat in. Most people do take out. The sandwiches are also very good, chicken parm was excellent.we will be back for sure.
I would describe Prima as a typical, small town New York Italian eatery. We ordered for pickup and my son-in-law and I shared a meat lovers pie while the ladies both went for salads. Despite encountering a street festival right in front of the restaurant...that we were not anticipating, I walked a couple of blocks and went in to find a crowded, busy place. However, our order was ready and I carried it back to our vehicle that was waiting as near as possible behind the barricades blocking off the streets. Everyone loved their food so the pick up ordeal turned out to be worth the trouble!More
Was referred from a friend who used to live in the area. Small restaurant with limited seating but that's the only drawback. The pizza was amazing and the garlic bread was too. Don't miss this pizza place! Check out their webpage and order online too!
I love eating at this place ... there's a reason they ship nationwide, and people are willing to pay to have it done! It was crowded today, as nearby West Point had a lot of visitors as they welcomed a new class of cadets in....But the pizza pie was still stacked high, and the pasta was its usual incredible stuff. I try to eat here every time I come to the area. It's that good.More
