The meal was decent, good size serving. Pull pork was tender and tea good. The mixed meat sandwich, basically tasted the same as the pulled pork. Salad was not good. Dressing was not good at all (blue cheese).

Food was ok, overpriced. Serve was pleasant but offered no assistance- didn't inform us of the days special (which didn't appear on the menu). Not sure everything that was supposed to be on my sandwich was... not likely to return.

Was not expecting to mind good barbecue..... it is New York... but it was good. .. real good. Especially like the spicy sauce, which is spicy without being hot, just right. French fries great, baked beans perfect, chopped pork great, you can hear them chopping...More

DISCLAIMER: This is mostly a rant, which is unusual for my reviews, but this truly was a fail in food service, and I would expect more for a restaurant in such a prime location in Corning. ---------------------- I'm a sucker for good brisket, so I...More

Good bbq and sauce was sweet but not overwhelming. Side dishes could have been a bit bigger. Had smoked sliced brisket, pulled brisket and ribs. Plates were licked clean.

Came here after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. My fiancé had the Pork Chops (they were a special menu item) and we've agreed they were the best porkchops we've ever had. They must have been brined, because they were so flavourful and not...More

We stopped by during our trip to the Elmira/ Corning area. We had the beef brisket sandwich and fries, and the pulled pork platter with fries and baked beans. Everything was absolutely delicious! I will definitely stop back if I'm ever in the area

My wife and I split a full rack of what were arguably the best-tasting, meatiest ribs we'd ever eaten ... maybe short of my own grill - and then, maybe not. A bit of a crusty burn on the outside but tender and juicy from...More

Service was decent and food arrived quickly, but our 2 pulled pork sandwiches weren't really pulled pork. It was cut up pork and clearly had not been cooked enough to shred. Salad and coleslaw were fresh.

I don't think there would be a problem with the meat dishes, but one could ask about the ingredients in the sides and probably find something that would work.

You can actually walk there from the Corning Museum it's about a 5 minute walk. But there is parking right in front of the restaurant.

Description
Texas Style Southern Smoked BBQ, established in 2013. Second location opened in 2016. Outgrowing their original location at 37 East Pulteney Street, required them to branch out and expand to the second location at 69 East Market Street. After a fully successful 2nd year in business at the second location, it was finally time to close the starter location, as of March 31, 2018. The only location now available, is the gorgeous 3 story historic building, in downtown Corning, NY. With a full bar, three floors of dining, and remaining open seven days a week, has given this family owned business a Southern feel that they are proud of. So please, stop in, order up some amazing food and see for yourself.
