This is the place to go for GREAT fresh food, soup/salad combos, large salads, sandwiches, desserts, fresh coffee...you name it. Friends and I eat here often, oh and they have an ice cream bar with beautiful hand carved wood working. Plan on a wonderful lunch with family and friends.

We stopped into the Old World Cafe on Market Street in Corning, NY, for a coffee and ice cream and it was wonderful. The atmosphere in the cafe is so pleasant and the decor and original woodwork is beautiful. Go enjoy the soup of the day and other food items, including ice cream sundaes, coffees and teas.

Love this place. You can't go wrong with the soup and mini sandwich. Everything is fresh and delicious. They also feature Purity ice cream! Highly recommend if you are on market street!

My friend and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches. Everything is made fresh every day! Located downtown Corning, it is rich in history and food. They also have a great selection of coffee and ice cream. We will be back!

We stopped in for lunch. The layout of the place is a little strange but the food is very good. We both had the tuna melt panini, wow these things could feed three people! Of course we had to try the pies, pumpkin and apple. Both were very good. You order at the counter, pick a table, then they bring... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch and they didn't bat an eye when we asked to split a sandwich. They were very accommodating and you paid after you were done eating. The atmosphere in the shop was cute and had the old fashioned look.

The food was outstanding. If you leave hungry, that's on you. Expensive, soup and sandwich for my wife and I came to $40. Service was good but a little rude.

Old World Cafe is a great spot for lunch on Market Street. They offer an excellent selection soups, sandwiches and desserts. I recently tried the gumbo and thought it was excellent. It consisted of chicken, shrimp and sausage and was very flavorful. I've never had a bad sandwich there. They also have an "old fashioned" ice cream counter that serves... More

We stopped here in Corning. Really great sandwiches and soup. Terrific ice cream. The bakery items looked great although we did not try them.
