Right on Orders Lake shore, the venue can't be beaten. Great for a drink or a light meal. Food is pricey and a little variable.

We were taken to the Blue Mingo by a friend who knew about it. What a treat! Right on the water. Bar food and a bit more. Jolly group of people at the bar. Drinks were good...nice kids menu. A great way to spend a little time feeding the ducks, watching the boat antics and taking in a summer evening.
The food was good but not the best I have had . The service was great but the flies were horrible. Loved the view so didn't mind swatting a few flies.
Located down a dirt drive, and not visible from the road (don't miss the sign), lies this gem of a waterfront restaurant. The local wisdom says to go here for lunch, when the selection is much wider, and the prices are more reasonable. I would have to agree. I had a terrific lobster roll, and my Honey had a very... More
The food here is out of this world. We met the chef and he was so nice. Told us where he was from and he cook us a special meal. A little pricy but worth it. The menu is a chalk board the waiter brings around. That was cool. Our waiter was friendly and knew his stuff. If in the... More
We had a very relaxing lunch at Blue Mingo after renting kayaks on the same campus. We did not have dinner here and that menu was quite pricey. The lunch menu was priced better. Food was very good with excellent presentation. We ordered a salad with chicken breast and the salad greens were wonderfully fresh. The BLT was different in... More
Do reserve ahead to be sure to get a table at the most scenic dining in Cooperstown. Blue Mingo is at the very edge of Lake Otsego, with the waves lapping below its roofed verandah and sailboats gliding past. The food is a nice mix of well-cooked and seasoned American fare at a reasonable price. A relaxing end to a... More
By far the best gem in Cooperstown. On the water, amazing menu, great staff. Lunch can be a bit pricey, but what you get in the long run is worth every penny. They have a diamond hiding down on that waterfront. Make sure to stop by, shop at the store and get a great meal!!!
From the porch on Otsego Lake, you can enjoy great drinks and interesting delicious food. Service is terrific, especially if you are going to the opera. They understand the need for prompt service in that situation. Lovely servers, too.
