Don’t blink or you’ll miss the diner, we has corned beer hash with eggs over easy and a bacon cheese omelette, our server was friendly and the food served hot. The only downside was everything was ala cart.
Our first morning in Cooperstown and we wanted a hearty breakfast. We found the right place! The diner is small but they had a place for us. My wife had eggs, bacon, and toast. I went for the Georgia Eggs which comprised two over-easy eggs...and melted cheese covered with sausage gravy over english muffin. It was insanely good. There were also some local folks eating there and welcomed us into their conversation. I don't think I've ever chatted with strangers over breakfast about the poets Milton and Wordsworth and animal husbandry. Delightful! We came back on our last day in town and repeated our first breakfast because it was that good.More
Had breakfast there one day while in Cooperstown. Small place and was able to eat outside (during Covid) and had a very enjoyable breakfast, the food was very good, staff was attentive and the food came quickly, hot, and delicious!
Really delicious (unfussy) breakfast! Don't let the tiny spot fool you; the food was really yummy. Service was terrific, too. The morning we were there, one woman as responsible for all of the tables (inside, outside, and take out). She was super friendly and efficient.
We're local diner fans and always seek them out when we travel, so this spot seemed right up our alley for some lunch, But not so, Waitress friendly and efficient, food okay -- a good burger, juicy and fresh, chicken noodle soup probably canned but...hot and a big bowl with a decent grilled cheese sandwich -- but $28 and change for those, one cup of tea a glass of soda, was more than it should have cost. The place is dreary and somewhat run-down -- needs new paint, holes in the wall filled, the decor, such as it is, sloppy and half-hearted. Other, better places for a bit in town.More
This is such a tiny place but the burger was bigger than any I have ever seen - had to be at least 2” thick. If you want polished and fancy, this is not for you. You go through the kitchen to get to the...little tiny bathroom. If you like diners, like we do, try this one.More
Super tight seating. A large man was sitting behind me and I got quite the elbow to the back. He was very apologetic and really it couldn’t be helped, you can barely move in the place. The breakfast, however, was fresh and plentiful. It wasn’t...crowded that day it was a weekday morning, cannot imagine how uncomfortable it would be if the place is crowded.More
Wife and I popped over for lunch while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was a rainy Saturday in the offseason and we had to wait for a seat at the bar...which seemed like a good sign. Once seated, there wasn't anything special about...the place. It's super tiny, but they seem to turn tables quickly. There was nothing particularly fancy about the diner, it's food, or the service. They're efficient with stick-to-your-ribs food options. I can see why they've been in business a while.More
