Friendly bar/cafe. The service was perfect and the food was delicious. We found parking on the street, which is always a plus. It's just down the street from the Hall of Fame and worth the walk.

We had just arrived in Cooperstown and this was a perfect choice. Great ambience, menu prices, and service. Our server was friendly and anticipated our needs without being too present ... just right.

We stop by every time we get to Cooperstown, which is about once a year. Doubleday cares about its food and service very much. It is small and sometimes crowded. It's crowded for good reason, the food.

Everyone in town recommended Doubleday. Have to say I agree! Dropped in for dinner not expecting much and I ordered a cup of the chili along with the minestrone soup. Amazing!!!!! Friendly staff was an added bonus.

I'm guessing the kitchen just isn't large enough to do it differently. If they had a weekend buffet geared to volume breakfast food that might also be a factor.
