My friend tried Pastrami and Friends this afternoon and tried their corned beef and pastrami combination sandwich. If you like corned beef and pastrami then I suggest you try their combination sandwich on club bread. You will be amazed!
They're not Kosher for Passover, but are otherwise. Their matzoh balls are massive the chicken soup very good. We love the brisket and related brown gravy - but you can have the brisket au jus. Their cole slaw is superb. Numerous other kosher items. Mashed...potato usually good. I'm not a fan of their potato kugel or pancakes - makes me wonder when the cooks last tasted them. NOTHING ever changes here, 100% identical visits. But like I said, the cooks should taste their food once in a while. Their cold cuts are generally excellent, best place, for instance, for tounge. Good place for food (order ahead) for Jewish holidays.More
Good food, good service, quiet small place.
This restaurant is not like Bens, which is quite large and has a very big menu, but the menu is big enough and the pastrami is good, although the best pastrami can be found at the Lido deli,...not in the area.More
Been here several times...food is very good. Had the potato pancakes which ate really good...matzah ball soup was good...roast beef club is also vert good. Only downside was the service. 2 servers on a Saturday night is not enough. Spend more time waiting....
My wife and my son and I have been coming to Pastrami and Friends for years and are always treated like family. This is the best kosher deli on the East Coast. They take pride in what they serve their customers. The staff goes above...and beyond. Since the first day we walked in, it was always a great experience from the food to the service. The roast beef, pastrami, corned beef, and tongue are so incredible. The matzoh ball soup reminds me of my grandmother's. To us, its a home cooked nostalgic experience. The owners, Ronnie and Ernie, always make you feel like you are part of the family.More
I was a big fan of the place. Today they blew it. Order chicken soup, potato pancakes and potato salad. The front end guy is wonderful as always. But sorry folks, this was not homemade potato salad. This is an ersatz, gummy, bad aftertaste outsourced...insult to your customers. In my books there is no excuse in the world to try to pass this off as your own. I could walk in to a grocery store if I wanted to poison myself with this garbage full of God knows what. I walked away wondering what else are they selling that isn't homemadeMore
