My husband and Both had prime rib,we ordered it rare,it came out well done.$29.00 for a terrible meal. The mashed potatoes were full of lumps. When Jim was there we never had a bad meal.He always came out of the kitchen and would go in the dining...room and ask the costumers how is everything?More
We had dinner here on a Sunday night. We had a reservation but did not need it because not every table was full. It took 45 minutes before we got our salad and
1 hour before we got the appetizer. Other people came in after...us but got their food earlier. Overall, we were there 2 hours to finish our dinners and we did not order dessert. The food came out hot and fresh, no complaints on the food quality. Good thing because the waitress never came back to refresh our drinks or ask if the meals were OK. We had to request bread even though it was supposed to be served with our long hots appetizer. The server was nice but seemed a big forgetful.More
Had reservations for 7pm for a party of 3. We arrived right at 7 and I checked our name with the waitress. Was told that they were clearing a table and would be seated shortly. Waited at the bar. After 30 minutes and watching other...parties being seated went back to waitress and asked her what the deal was. She apologized and then said they would immediately have us seated. Another 10 minutes pass and then we’re seated. The waitress did apologize about the wait. Waitress takes order, two fish fries and a strip steak. Pretty easy order. Another 50 minutes before food arrives. Fish was just warm and dried out. It was evident that the food was sitting under a heat lamp for a significant period of time. Really was disappointed. This is my go to restaurant when going to my camp. Come on Ohio Tavern you are much better than this. Could have been an off night.More
This place will surprise you. It's in a rather remote location and resembles a rural bar when you drive up to it. Inside there is a nice bar area with a very nice dining room in the next room.
The place was packed. Asked if...we had a reservation! We did not, but got seated immediately.
The menu covered sandwiches, entrees of beef, seafood and chicken.
My wife and I split a 12 oz perfectly prepared prime rib ($27) with veggie and mashed potato. Had more than enough to eat. The flounder my daughter ordered was very good and more than she could finish. Finally, my son in law ordered a Rueben that was huge. He could only eat half of it. The portions there are very generous. Total Bill for the four of us was $63. We did not have any drinks.
This place has excellent food and very good service.More
I have been visiting this local place for 40'years.It has been operated by numerous owners over the years with different business plans. The current owners depend on travelers going north on route 8 and snowmobiliers. The place is clean, especially the bathrooms and it has...a nice cozy Adirondack local vibe. The food is average and the prices in the last year have increased to a point where it does not correlate with the quality of the food they provide. Not many choice on route 8 for miles.Diring the winter, unless you like the smell and noise of smnowmobiles, stay away. Not relaxing.More
This was the first time I had been to this gem of a restaurant. It just happened to be Mexican food night. This was the very best Mexican I have had since leaving NYC 25 years ago. And believe me we have tried many. I...had the Mini Mexican Pizza and a Chicken Chimichanga that were excellent. My Husband had the Mini Pizza and a huge Beef Burrito. Worth the trip. We will certainly be going again.More

I really didn't check out their menu for your preference but if you call them I'm sure they would be more than happy to oblige. They are so accommodating. And generous. They have this pickled cucumber complimentary dish that is out of this world and right up your alley. And they gave me the recipe for it. Good luck.
