While on vacation found this place after talking to some locals at an cavern tour place. Parking on street or behind restaurant. Multi floor establishment, revolutionary war area old house converted to bar and restaurant. We sat in the basement bar area which was perfect on extremely hot day. The upstairs appear more upscale with a beautiful looking bar very high quality. The tavern part was well decorated and comfortable seating with a U-shaped bar about 6 to 8 seats on each side and possible wait staff pick up area on the U. The bartender was our server as there was only 2 other couples at 2 other tables. She was very good and talked to us about the bar's history, personalized bricks, her own story wish I could remember her name but she was very good. If we ever god back to that area of the state we will definitely be going back. If you go try the sampler plate of 3 or 4 selections they are all great. Reuben egg rolls and deep fried pickles were yummy. Wings were huge and the motzamoons were great. Saw others eating burgers that looked really good and a Reuben that looked amazing. Definitely a must try after going to Howe Caverns for anyone.

We ate lunch in this restaurant. Menu has plenty of variety to please most diners. Food was delivered hot ... and you could tell that it was made with fresh ingredients by folks who care about the food they prepare. Our server was awesome, super friendly and very accommodating. This is a historical restaurant/inn and has been restored with care.

We went here many years ago and was satisfied hence the return on another visit to the area. We both sat downstairs in the pub and it was wonderfully done over as I recall it looking different years ago. With that said we both had the Rib-eye steak and it was prepared as we requested. We usually are skeptical about having a good steak away from our many fine steakhouses in lower NY. Our waitress Kim was terrific and we will definitely return on our next visit. Thank you

Have not eaten here before. With the shut down I thought I would try their take out for a special occasion. The worst meal ever!! Mushy stuffed filet, burnt & overcooked fried seafood platter, stale brownie sundae for dessert! For this they charged $70 & expected a gratuity! Never again!!!!!

The food was so-so. I had the prime rib and it was overcooked and not much flavor even though I requested the end piece since they said it had more flavor. My child's mac and cheese was obviously from a box. The dessert was good. Overall it was not bad but it was not great. We sat outside which was right on the intersection and the constant beeping from the crosswalk indicator for the blind (which I totally support the necessity of that) however it was very loud and non-stop and not great for during dinner. The inside of the restaurant looked unique and was obviously historic. People seemed to be having a great time at the bar and the service was good. If you go, I suggest eating inside.

Very disappointing, no one there and service was “slow” and waitress kept forgetting everything had to ask multiple times for simple things like creamer for coffee ?? Green beans undercooked and sent back, crab cakes nothing but filling…. Slice of apple pie was $8 and was soooo small. Just a horrible birthday dinner. The onion soup was very good, not going back, just not a good experience and value for $$$. Waitress was just horrible.

Come here year after year to eat during hunting season. My meal was the prime rib roast very tasty and tender. My cousin had the steak which he saw was delicious. Unfortunately my other cousin had the fish and chips which he said was uneatab, fish was hard. They took the meal off the bill. Chris the owner is reduring the entrance to the pub located downstairs. He is a craftsman. We will come again

Stopped here on a Friday afternoon while en route to our destination, sat outside on the porch with Abby as s server, and really enjoyed our drinks and snack. I had a raspberry lemonade, which was a drink special, and we ordered the gouda bacon mac and cheese bites. My drink was very good and I credit that to Abby but the mac and cheese bites were wicked good too and there are a lot of things on the menu I would've loved to try in as well. Bummed we didn't get to drink in the cellar bar but we were too early...maybe next time.

Went for the last night of our 3 week vacation through Canada and back to Maine…..this was by far the BEST dinner in terms of quality, quantity and value. A charming place with wonderful service and outstanding food. Chicken pot pie was the BEST ever, and tortellini with salmon was absolutely flavored outstandingly. Would go way out of my way to get back here for dinner!!

I took my husband out for his birthday dinner & decided to come here I'm so glad we did!! The food was absolutely delicious Everything was fresh & was made rather quickly for the amount of people that were coming in to eat when we were there. This place is clean and really, really cool!! It has some very interesting history too! If you have never been here you definitely have to check out this place! Though it was alittle pricey we didnt mind paying because it was all top-notch from the building to the food and the service. Our server Amy was excellent & very attentive !!! We will be returning to The Bulls Head Inn !!!!!

I went to visit my daughter in college and happened on this restaurant and I’m glad we did. The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating to one of my dining companions with limited mobility. The food was excellent. Two of us had their burgers. They were thick juicy and cooked as we requested. There were so many items on the menu I can’t wait to go back and try some of them.

We were seated in the front room by the fireplace and socially distanced. Drinks were quickly served and made as ordered. Dinner was a rib eye and one of the daily specials. Both were well prepared and presented. Price was reasonable and service was attentive but not intrusive.

Great food, but even better was the fabulous atmosphere - it’s evident in that so much love and attention to detail went into the restoration of this beautiful historic building. To top it all off, Stephanie behind the bar is so awesome and made our visit even more memorable with stories about the building and the history. So glad we decided to make a stop here on our drive home from Ithaca, we’ll definitely be back!!

This is a very nice sit down restaurant, with live music downstairs. The building itself is gorgeous, and they have lots of good food options (they did get my order wrong). We did have to wait an hour for our meal because it was very busy, so making a reservation is smart.
