We went here many years ago and was satisfied hence the return on another visit to the area. We both sat downstairs in the pub and it was wonderfully done over as I recall it looking different years ago. With that said we both had...the Rib-eye steak and it was prepared as we requested. We usually are skeptical about having a good steak away from our many fine steakhouses in lower NY. Our waitress Kim was terrific and we will definitely return on our next visit. Thank youMore

The food was so-so. I had the prime rib and it was overcooked and not much flavor even though I requested the end piece since they said it had more flavor. My child's mac and cheese was obviously from a box. The dessert was good....Overall it was not bad but it was not great. We sat outside which was right on the intersection and the constant beeping from the crosswalk indicator for the blind (which I totally support the necessity of that) however it was very loud and non-stop and not great for during dinner. The inside of the restaurant looked unique and was obviously historic. People seemed to be having a great time at the bar and the service was good. If you go, I suggest eating inside.More

While on vacation found this place after talking to some locals at an cavern tour place. Parking on street or behind restaurant. Multi floor establishment, revolutionary war area old house converted to bar and restaurant. We sat in the basement bar area which was perfect...on extremely hot day. The upstairs appear more upscale with a beautiful looking bar very high quality. The tavern part was well decorated and comfortable seating with a U-shaped bar about 6 to 8 seats on each side and possible wait staff pick up area on the U. The bartender was our server as there was only 2 other couples at 2 other tables. She was very good and talked to us about the bar's history, personalized bricks, her own story wish I could remember her name but she was very good. If we ever god back to that area of the state we will definitely be going back. If you go try the sampler plate of 3 or 4 selections they are all great. Reuben egg rolls and deep fried pickles were yummy. Wings were huge and the motzamoons were great. Saw others eating burgers that looked really good and a Reuben that looked amazing. Definitely a must try after going to Howe Caverns for anyone.More

My kids and I had a very delicious meal at this beautiful old inn while on a trip to Howe Caverns. The food and service were excellent and they have a great selection. I highly recommend if you are stopping through Cobleskill.

Probably would have been better in the restaurant. Food was good quality, but take-out is never fantastic.

Stopped here for lunch after Howe Caverns and it did not disappoint 1/8/22. Basement pub area was super cozy and clean. Our waitress/bartender (name?) was very nice and food was great quality.

I had a terrible entree, crab stuffed shrimp, which was 25.99 and was served with frozen mixed vegetables. Really, frozen mixed vegetables? I would not go again.

I went to visit my daughter in college and happened on this restaurant and I’m glad we did. The staff were friendly, efficient and very accommodating to one of my dining companions with limited mobility. The food was excellent. Two of us had their burgers....They were thick juicy and cooked as we requested. There were so many items on the menu I can’t wait to go back and try some of them.More

We were seated in the front room by the fireplace and socially distanced. Drinks were quickly served and made as ordered. Dinner was a rib eye and one of the daily specials. Both were well prepared and presented. Price was reasonable and service was attentive...but not intrusive.More

Come here year after year to eat during hunting season. My meal was the prime rib roast very tasty and tender. My cousin had the steak which he saw was delicious. Unfortunately my other cousin had the fish and chips which he said was uneatab,...fish was hard. They took the meal off the bill. Chris the owner is reduring the entrance to the pub located downstairs. He is a craftsman. We will come againMore

Have not eaten here before. With the shut down I thought I would try their take out for a special occasion. The worst meal ever!! Mushy stuffed filet, burnt & overcooked fried seafood platter, stale brownie sundae for dessert! For this they charged $70 &...expected a gratuity! Never again!!!!!More
