Did the research prior to bringing my son and his friend to JFK for their 10 week hike through South Africa. The pizza lives up to it's reputation. We ordered a sausage and pepperoni, along with a sausage and cheese calzone. The pizza was heaven. The service was friendly and helpful, considering I was wearing my Red Sox jersey. The... More

NYC pizza at its best. This was recommended to us by locals and we were not disappointed. We ordered the traditional cheese pizza, it was fast and piping hot when we went to pick it up. The staff were extremely friendly and prices were great. Highly recommend if you're anywhere in the vicinity. I'll be dreaming about this place when... More

Great pizza and the calzones are to die for especially the eggplant and the broccoli rabe! Staff is friendly. A real neiborhood pizzeria

I took a trip down memory lane and picked up a sausage pie and a calzone at this legendary Bronx pizzeria last night. It was better than my memories. This is classic Bronx pizza. The sauce was fresh, just the right amount of mozzarella, thin well cooked crust, and the sausage was the best (it comes from down the block... More

My husband and I were in NY for a yearly reunion and decided to visit Louie & Ernies Pizza for lunch with my sister, nephew, and my son. I recall someone had recommended this place for a good pizza. Anyway, we ordered 3 pies as we hadn't had NY pizza in 4 years. It was alright. Not quite what I... More

My friend and I happened upon Louie & Ernie's Pizza quite by accident. Located in a quiet, residential, working class neighborhood in the northeast Bronx, the restaurant serves surprisingly good, thin crust pizza. The setting is relaxed and comfortable, and the friendly, courteous staff just adds to the experience. If you are in the area, be sure to stop and... More

Crust is light and crunchy; sauce cheese and toppings are in perfect balance. Try the chicken parm calzone too-it's amazing!! Agree with other reviews that this may be the best pizza in NYC!
