Actually was referred to this restaurant by a police officer on the street post a yankees game. Typical Jamaican fare Large portions Quick service Food: brother had the jerk with rice and peas, macaroni and enjoyed it. I had the oxtail with rice and peas...and veggies. The gravy is delicious but I found the oxtail very fatty and not that flavourful. Cost: 2 medium meals and extra side of plantains cost 27$ High top tables available to eat in the restaurant Literally a 2 min walk from Yankee stadium check it out next time you are in the mood for JamaicanMore

More than 15-20 years ago this place had the best food in the Bronx, not anymore. I stopped by today for a fry chicken lunch and was told I can only order a medium or large. That sucks, so I got a small stew chicken....The chicken had no flavor and tasted like it was boiled in water, and the rice and peas was terrible. After two forks I dumped it. Terrible. What a disappointment. I called to talk to one of the owners, but was told by the young lady that answered the phone that she believes it's the same owners from years ago. Crossing this spot off my list of favorite places to eat. DMMore

Stopped by here before a Yankee game and the food was as authentic as I’ve had outside of Jamaica. Will be back

We were in New York for the first time and we had this place in our bucket list. Although we had no idea what to expect we really didn't get disappointed. OMG! that chicken was just sooo yummy! We tried a few other things but...the chicken was the best option. I will definitely go back.More

The food was good, the service a bit slow, but I guess it's Jamaica style! The downside is they don't get anything but cash, which is something I always find a little annoying. But the overall experience was pretty enjoyable.

The food here is amazing. You get so much good food at such a low cost. My boyfriend is Jamaican, and he said it was some of the best he's ever had. I got the oxtail ($10.50), and my boyfriend got the jerk chicken ($6.50)....Everything is delicious and super flavourful; the rice and peas, the gravy, the oxtail/chicken... yum.More

You have to hit this place up. Thank you to all those that recommended this on Trip Advisor and thank you Anthony Bourdain for visiting here a few years back. You have got to try this Jamaican food. The people were amazing as well!

It was great. Cheap and delicious. Really spicy. Also the staff were really nice. Go there before a game- it's less than one block away from the main gates at Yankee Stadium. It's very spartan but the food is what you are going for anyway.

No matter when I come here or what I have it is consistently wonderful. Jerk chicken is amazing crispy and flavorful. Brown stew chicken and curry goat saucy and spicy. Ask for Everette she is amazing server polite and efficient.

Five of us had great meals at this Jamaican-inspired restaurant just blocks from Yankee Stadium. The decor is minimal but clean, and this area of the Bronx is not scenic. However, the food, the service, and the prices at this restaurant were excellent. Our lovely...waitress took the time to explain the menu items which were unfamiliar to us and to recommend some of the favorite selections. Among the five of us, we ordered three different main courses and found all three to be delicious and varied in spiciness from mild-savory to significant (but not overwhelming) heat. Most meals ranged in price from $9 to $12 and the portions were generous. The soups and hors d'oeuvres were also flavorful. Our seating area was small but uncrowded, as the restaurant seemed to do a brisk take-out business that was handled in an adjacent room. The entire experience exceeded our expectations; we look forward to our next visit.More
