This GEM is awesome. The server was outstanding...they do not have a Liquor license...so when asked for a glass of red wine he could not serve us......my sad face told it all.....he states Go next door to store buy a bottle and bring it in...we...did and this added so much to the perfect tasty hot pasta dishes my spouse and I had...WOW!!!!! The portions are so large we had left overs for the next day You must go !!!!More

This place is excellent for dining in or take out, will recommend the chicken or shrimp parmigiana plate or sandwich to anyone who visits, I have been going to this location for over 20 years simply low key at being the best there is

I've been away from home many years and recently visited. This was one of the places I decided to revisit. I was not disappointed. They still have the best shrimp parmigiana in the five boroughs.

This little restaurant is tucked away on a corner. There is a parking lot across the street that is provided for customers. We arrived just before the "rush" started, and it was apparent they were understaffed. Our first server could not explain the difference between...the various types of veal or chicken on the menu and we were given a different server who explained them to us. The "mini" pizza that we ordered for our grandson was larger than a dinner plate and all of the entrees we ordered could have been split between two people with plenty left over. The sausage parmesan was the hit. Veal marsala was a bit chewy, but still very good. The prices are reasonable, especially if you split the meal.More

Venice restaurant is a gem right smack in the middle of the South Bronx. It might not be in the best location but they do provide a parking lot across the street with constant video surveillance. I've been going there to dine since the 1960's...when they were on the opposite corner. The food is always good with excellent and fast service. They serve, by far the best fried shrimps I ever had. They are large, fresh and tasty. I normally get my fried shrimp with linguini and white clam sauce, it is one of my favorite meals. The dishes are ample and moderately priced. Great food like you would expect in Manhatttan but at Bronx prices, a win win!More

I have been going to Venice since before I could remember. I don't dine there because the ambiance is dated but I do order out to take home. The servings are generous and very affordable. My go to are the clams with garlic bread/cheese and...chicken parm. Can't go wrong with that :)More

We stumbled on this restaurant heading back to the Opera House Hotel and were not disappointed. We arrived about 9:15 and saw many of the chairs up on the table as if they were closing. I asked if we can still eat and what time...they closed. They closed at 10, but said there was no problem and we could eat. We got some sandwiches (huge and inexpensive) and some wine and had a GREAT meal. Service was very courteous too as they were not rushing to get us out. I highly recommend them if you are in the area! They also have a parking lot across the side street which was such a great treat for us! It's on video surveillance too so you can see it from tables at the front of the restaurant.More
