Well i gave 5 stars but was not thrilled with the service or the food. First time ever i did not have a fabulous dinner or waiter. It was all off that night.

This is a well-known restaurant on Arthur Avenue, a very nice old-fashioned, but still very energetic and spirited neighborhood in the Bronx. Dominick's is a very casual restaurant with "longish" tables that accommodate about four or five people on each side, and if you come in as a party of, say, three people, you can be seated at a table... What a disappointment this place was. Ordered the Veal Parm, what a mistake. Tough, thick, tasteless. Ate half and didn't even want the rest wrapped up. Pasta that accompanied it was OK but not great. Ordered a glass of wine. Only red or white. Had the red, ok but not worth the money. Friend had the veal and potatoes. He... More

In world of trendy fusion Italian Restaurants, it is good to see that a home-style place still exist. No frills or truffles here. Just your basics. Sit at one of the long red-covered tables but don't look for a menu - a knowing waiter will let you know what's going on in the kitchen at that moment and help you... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with excellent table service. The portions are huge so don't feel bad by sharing your order with your companion. Forget the menu, just asked you waiter for his recommendation.

The decor is very simple, long tables, were they stuff couples, tables of four... Waiter comes and tells you what they are offering that day. No discription of any of it. Unlike when most waiters tell you of their specials, they discribe them. Our part of four chose app of calamari, which was fresh and very good. Our entrees were... More

We had heard about this place from friends, and were looking forward to a great original dining experience. Everything started out well, with an excellent antipasti salad and plate of fried calamari, but the main courses were terribly disappointing. My husband's linguini with white clam sauce had no sauce at all-- just a bunch of clams dumped on the pasta;... More

Great, old fashioned Italian-American food. Very eccentric. No menus. No prices. No checks. Cash only. Tell the waiter what you want and you'll be in for a treat. Had clam appetizer and chicken scarpariello with hot peppers. Joy.

Maybe the best restaurant on Arthur Avenue. Fantastic place. Wonderful ambiance. NO menu. The waiter knows everything they have to offer - and everything they have is PERFECT. Honest, you will not be disappointed - but fair warning - the portions are huge. If you order for one - figure that you'll be carrying out a goody bag. Great great... More
