We were in the Bronx for a doctors appointment and we stopped for hero's at Ann Clair's.. the bread was great, crispy like it should be the meats were good as well as all of the vegetables... and anyone who may wish to respond that...the Pine is better... not since they changed their bread. Ann Clair's will have our business whenever we go to the Bronx.More
Worst experience!!!! Ordered a 3 foot italian combo - just like I have for years - drove 2 hours to take it to a party to find out it was ham, turkey and cheese - called to see what happened and was told by a...very arrogant cashier that I got what I ordered from the menu and that I should have requested a "very italian" combo - went online and checked the menu again to see that what was listed was exactly what I ordered and paid for. Called back again and explained to the very arrogant cashier that they need to change their menu if this is what they consider an italian combo- was told the neighborhood has changed and this is what they thought I wanted - I was promised a call back but it never came - my advice - go to Barino's - they still make an authentic italian combo and give you all the italian meat Ann Calirs did not feel I deserved even though I paid for !!!!!!!!!!!!!More
Our family does not often get the special meats and cheeses but when we do, it's from Ann Clair's. They are perfect for appetizers and really high quality. They have everything that you could imagine, including some of the best fresh mozzarella you can eat....I would recommend going here for any occasion.More
Love the egg and potato hero. Sometimes it's overfilled with potatoes and not enough eggs. Other times eggs are not cooked enough. I have had to take filling out if sandwich and nuke it as eggs were too runny. Sandwiches are many times not filled...the same. Twice I got the same sandwich and it was filled with different amounts and the price was not the same!More
Years ago this was the only place to go for cold cuts and Italian items. Now there are plenty of places in the area. Place is always clean. Food looks fresh. This is the second time I ordered potato and egg sandwich and egg was...not cooked. Had to reheat when I got home. I do t know if they are trying to rush to make more money or if the person who served me - female with crew cut hair - is just not good at her job. She is new there so maybe she needs more time to learn. Prices are higher then other places too.More
Had a party - love the sandwich so decided to cater my party from there. Never again. Greasy, chopped up chicken for chicken parm, anything that was supposed to have vegetables was stuffed with huge pieces of peppers and onions. Very sad.
