Ok for a quick sushi fix in Briarcliff, but nothing great. The last time we ordered delivery they forgot one of our appetizers and tried to make me settle for a store credit on the next order, and that was after 3 attempts to call them with no one picking up the phone. Customer service has been lacking every time we eat in-person, so we normally just do takeout.

We have been here a few times over the years and it never seems to busy anytime we've eaten here. It looks like they have more take-out service than dine-in customers.
The food is good, not spectacular. The dining area is not that big and the have a large TV showing the most bizarre infomercial. Prices are reasonable.
The desserts are pre-made desserts, probably frozen.
I wouldn't consider this a must go to place to eat. I would be sufficient for wanting sushi and being in the area.

We always order too much... Delicious seaweed salad. I enjoy their sushi pizza, tuna, yellow fin and/or salmon on a scallion pancake. Hubby loves the sweet shrimp, we both enjoyed their eel rolls, spicy tuna... it's all great. A few beer and wine choices. Great menu, low-key, nice environment, quick & friendly service.

Most of the time this place has pretty good sushi, average miso soup and salad, but beware - one time I got seaweed that I could not even chew through - VERY TOUGH. Not sure what was going on. I mentioned it to the wait staff and they did not say sorry or acknowledge in any way. Scared to try it again!

Yama Fuji Sushi always has delicious sushi,,,,fresh and very appealing. Service is great and friendly,,,,atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing. Easy parking in front, disabled accessible

We've always been happy with the food here. Recently we we ordered take out and found the portions a bit small. Service is always very quick and pleasant.

Yama Fuji Sushi has excellent fish, most often served in the form of "exotic" sushi rolls, mixing 3 or 5 or 7 ingredients with varying degrees of success. Honestly, a special this week combining smoked salmon and cream cheese made me cringe; that belongs on a bagel and bagels don't belong at a sushi bR. I confess to being something of a sushi purist but this is the suburbs and compromises are inevitable. When the dining room is busy, service becomes somewhat rushed and too often I have felt rushed to order by robotic servers. this is perhaps lass of a problem these days because the restaurant is not full so often as take out business often seems to dominate.

This place used to be one of the best sushi restaurants around. I don't know what happened but now it is just ok with better choices in the area. They need to try harder and return to their previous high standards.

I've been going here for years. And the quality is always great. I am not a "Sushi aficionado" at at, but my wife and daughters are. And they say... it really is the best around... by far. They also have a full menu for those who are NOT sushi eaters. So, this is a high recommend for those who like very good sushi.

Sushi was good, the avocado was a bit brown in one of the rolls. The rice and tempura was good as well, delivery was on time. Would order again.

Many good choices on menu. Huge freshly made portions! Owner & Waiters need to learn how to run a restaurant and serve diners. Best bet is take out and eat home?

We are regulars at Yama Fuji Sushi - well, regular takeout customers! Food is fresh and tasty - lots of interesting special rolls. People always very friendly, too.
