We were celebrating my husbands birthday, 4 of us in total, on a not terribly busy night. We were 1 of 4 tables in the dining room. We ended up spending over $300, and we left frustrated and exhausted (2 1/2 hours). We ordered drinks,...and The owner came over like a bat out of hell, and quivered over a $7 martini Friday night ladies night deal that was advertised on HER website. She said numerous times how it's not on there, I offered to show her she said no. Then she came back and asked to see, I said I'd have to find it, she said it was probably some old google menu. I found it right on her restaurants webpage, scroll down, choose cocktails, and it's right there. She said she was taking it down, that it's two years old, and that she could give it to me, this one and only time, for $10, not $7, whatever. Service is very slow. My husband ordered a kettle one dirty martini and it tasted like my cucumber martini, he had to ask for another one to be made. They brought back a vodka martini and gave him olive juice on the side to make it himself. After a while, we decided to give our entree order to a different waitress who came over and asked if we were being helped (after we ordered drinks and appetizers and we were still sitting without any bread or waters). Once they came, Our appetizers were delicious, we ordered calamari, baked clams and mussels.I ordered the surf and turf medium rare, it came out medium well, no one came over and asked us how our food came out. We finished our dinner, we ordered dessert, frangelico, a cappuccino. Our waiter disappeared. My mother had to chase down someone to ask for our bill: our waiter was nowhere be found. And then to pay the bill we again had to approach their work area to run the cards. We left the establishment without any sort of enjoyable feeling. I'm sad this is where we chose to celebrate my husband's birthday.
Given the rudeness of the manager and the neglect of the staff, I'd say take your business elsewhere.More
Just hosted my husband's birthday here and was very pleased with not only the delicious food but the attentive service too. The restaurant is lovely inside and the outside seating added to the ambiance although we weren't seated outside. The fact that all the food...was served family style made for more interaction between the guests and seems less formal and "stuffy." Was assured that we likely would come home with leftovers which we did and were pleased at how neatly it was packed up for us.More

We're so happy to hear your husband's birthday celebration with us was a success! We hope to see you again soon!
This is a gem in Blue Point. Beautiful outdoor dining atmosphere. Tables are set widely apart. They did have some couch set ups but never saw people get seated at them. Food was delicious. Only downside was menus are not contactless and feel all restaurants...should have paper menus or QR menu.More

A beautiful lovely place for dinner. We were invited to our good friends birthday celebration. The food was excellent and delicious. The service was exceptional. I don't know the servers name; but he was very attentive and available. Looking forward to going back.

We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience with us! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I was born and raised in NYC and this was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced dining in a restaurant. Service was slow, things were forgotten, wrong dishes were brought to my table, and management support was totally unsupportive. I’ve travelled to dine in many...restaurants in NYC and Long Island, and this restaurant is the worst of the worst restaurant me and my family have ever experienced. The food was mediocre and we’ll never, ever return here!More
I went to Stella Trattoria for a Christmas party and was extremely dissatisfied with the menu. Most of the food brought out looked unappealing and tasted mediocre at best. There was not much food that looked edible in fact.
We had the opportunity to try Stella's this week. What I can say is that we enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was amazing and plentifull, the restaurant was beautiful. My only negative that made me give it 4 stars was the service.
We sat outside,...which was lovely but a bit road noisy. The problem was that the bartender took care of us and at first was a bit neglectful of our table. I personally had to go back into the restaurant a couple of times to get refill of drinks. Besides this, once their awareness of how I was feeling was noted, it all got corrected.
The food was unbelievably amazing. The antipasto meat and cheese platter was delicious, the lobster ravioli with scallops and shrimp were creamy and amazing. I ordered the veal parmigiana... amazing (you will see pics). We also had penne alla vodka, salmon dish and chicken francaise, all were awesome.
All in all, the restaurant is beautiful, the food amazing and the night, just wonderful. Just pick it up with the service attention. Next visit will bump you up to 5 starsMore
