On the recommendation of friends who had attended Binghamton thirty years ago, we went to Number 5, a restaurant that had once been an old firehouse. The room was lovely, with a folk singer singing at the bar and the service was great. However everything we ordered tasted greasy! Well I did have an excellent baked potato but given the... More

This fantastic restaurant is a few miles past Binghamton University. Top notch food, service and ambiance. Expensive but worth it! Gluten free friendly too.

Wonderful meal and service for my daughter's 20th birthday. As a vegetarian, sometimes I feel slighted with my meal, but I didn't at all. My daughter and her boyfriend had steak (which was great) and my husband seafood (also great). I had the stuffed peppers with sun-dried tomato risotto which was amazing. Pricy but worth it.

Ate here a few months back. Now I'm back in town and figured I'd write NY 2 cents. Now I'm from the NYC area so if a restaurant is so so and charges more, then it won't last long. Not that this was an expensive place but was definitely over priced for mediocre food at best, everything we had was... More

Looking forward to a wonderful lobster dinner, a group of us decided to go have the lobster special. Of the meals, only 2 were properly cooked. Sadly, this scenario was related to me by other patrons. It seems the word is things have been slipping.

Authentic fire station interior! Once seated we are served by the staff we already know very well. It's nice not to be worried about something during you're dinner and you know they are taking care off you. When you see their menu you know to come taste a little bite of NYC! The live music is super nice and give's... More

Our great experience started at the hostess desk when she acknowledged our daughters birthday. The service and food was exceptional. I felt like the waitress and manager were genuinely invested in us being highly satisfied with our experience.

Number 5 is a top notch restaurant and relatively expensive. A great way to enjoy their high quality cooking is in the bar before 7:00 PM. They have a special bar menu with "pub" like food. They have the best Burger in town, happy hour drink specials, lobster mac & cheese that we loved, and various other items that make... More

This place is right over the bridge from Binghamton, near downtown. They had friendly service (not something I found everywhere I went), homemade chips and good food. I had the lump crab special.

Number 5 bar side has a great bar menu and the prices are very reasonable. I have had the delicious lobster roll, steak sandwich, and awesome burger. All served with choice of french fries or my all time favorite a Cobb Salad. Wonderful choice of drinks too!! Saturday night bar side comes with entertainment too- a live band!
