Number 5 has a large variety of wine, beer and spirits. There is a special drink of the evening that is usually $5 or $6. There is also a menu of very good appetizers that include scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, spring rolls. You can order off of the HH menu or the regular dinner menu. The downstairs bar and dining area... This is by far one of the nicest places to eat within a 100 mile radius. It is expensive but well worth the price. The restaurant is in an old firehouse. It has an upstairs and a downstairs and an excellent wait staff. Make sure to order yourself Honey horseradish shrimp. It's an appetizer on the menu but since it... More

When our wonderful sons visit, it is always a must to visit Number 5! This time we were seated next to the slide pole (and how one son wanted to give it a whirl). We had asked for a "quiet table" and they put us as far away from the action as possible. They warned us that no table was... More

Number 5 has been a round for decades. A fun spot located in an old fire House. Good steaks. Main Dining room is up a steep set of stairs so not great for old folks

Number 5 was suggested to me as "the best fine dining experience in Binghamton". The person should have stressed in Binghamton. I think the food was decent, but the desire to create a Michigan Avenue (Ritzy Chicago) type of experience fell short. Again, the food was OK and the waitstaff decent, but not my first choice for dining.

Number 5 is definitely a place to go to for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc). The food, atmosphere, and service is exceptional. Our waitress was awesome and made our family feel welcome. The prices are up there ($40+ for steak) but for a classy dining experience that is to be expected. The quality of the food and execution of the... More

We love this restaurant. Steaks are consistently the best in the Binghamton area. Ambience is nice too since it's in an old firehouse. Service is always on point and severs are nice. They also give you a free meal (up to $30) when you purchase another meal for birthdays and anniversaries. Highly recommend Number 5!

Upstairs is more fine dining. Nice and decent food for decades. Downstairs is less stuffy. Extensive bar menu w burgers, chicken, and salads in the $8-15 range. Happy Hour is 4-7, and features cheap eats and beer/wine. The $15 cobb salad is huge and topped w chicken. Lobster Mac & cheese is also $15ish, but rather small. Burgers are consistently... More

Hi. Thank you for honest, detailed review! Our bar menu has become exceedingly popular and so has our Happy Hour! Our burger is made with fresh ground tenderloins, ribeyes, and strips which makes a fantastic flavor steak burger and it's hard to find a burger that good around here! We hope to see you again soon for Happy Hour! More
