From top to bottom, Sharkey's menu will please anyone. Delicious pork spiedies, char broiled burgers, the garlic fries and clams...All fantastic. They also have raw spiedie meat that you can purchase by the pound as well as raw clams. Don't forget the bread and extra juice for the spieidies!! Also, contrary to the previous post, Sharkey's accepts debit / credit... More

This is a long standing, family owned restaurant/bar with mostly local favorites on the menu - speidies, steamed clams, some Slovak dishes, etc. Nothing fancy, but very casual, relaxed, and friendly. Not too expensive but cash only. For us, it's a mandatory stop every time we visit Binghamton.

A lot of other reviewers have summed it up well. If you lived in Binghamton in the 60s-70s, it was here and for the most part has not changed a bit. Same booths, the same pin bowling machine. The menu has expanded, they now serve pizza, wings and many other specialties. In my mind Sharkey's had only three things: Spiedies,... More

Been a customer of Sharkey's since 1966 when my parents used to take my brother and I there on Friday nights for Pizza and clams. I go back whenever I'm visiting Binghamton. Nothing really has changed with the decor since '66...same booths, same bar...same bowling game...missing are the booth juke box selectors. This is definitely not a bright, glitzy, fake... More

Other than going here because it's a landmark, I'm not sure why anyone would. I understand they're trying to preserve it's history, but it's a very outdated bar atmosphere that could use some attention. On top of this our food was blah. I was hoping for fresh cut fries, but they were bag fries and the hamburger was also a... More

Visiting Binghamton and missing Sharkey's is like visiting Edinburgh and not climbing Arthur's Seat. It seems locked in a time warp from the 1970's, and that's a good thing. Prices are very reasonable, just as they were forty years ago. Place was crowded and noisy early Friday evening but quoted and emptied a bit by 9:00. Only thing missing was... More

Old bar in Binghamton and the place could use a sprucing-up but food is always decent. We make our annual trek here and get the perogies which they seem very good at making.

Stopped in to have an early dinner and was very disappointed. Wile we were quickly seated we found the dining room very dark and uninviting in appearance. The waitress took our drink orders and left menus. The drinks took at least 15 minutes to appear (a glass of water and a single bottle of beer). Due to time constraints, we... More

Returned to Binghamton NY recently for a 50+ reunion. Back in the day, Sharkey's had already been in business for 30-40 years. While I didn't go there very often, I remembered the place quite well. It is the only surviving "hangout" from the early 60s...but the really amazing thing is that it looks exactly as it did way back when,... More
