Everything we had was incredible!

Headed to the Hare 'n Hound for some late appetizers after having a few drinks at the Lenhart. Sat at the bar and ordered some "bar bites". We choose the grouper fingers (incredible), the blue mussel (in a blue cheese sauce that was out of this world), lobster mac n cheese (speechless), black and... read more

We have dinner here every Christmas season. The décor is lovely and we make reservations to ensure a table next to the fire. Service was perfect and polite. Our pre dinner drinks were generous with a nice wine selection including local wines and beer. The pork entrée I had was tender with an amazingly lovely nutty coating and tasty sauce.... More

We visited Ye Hare 'n Hounds a few years ago when none of their furniture matched. Each chair, table, and piece of dinnerware was unique. It looked as if the owners had gone out to the recycling shed at the town transfer station and picked up whatever they could find. We remembered this oddball charm, combined with the good food... We were seated right before the dinner rush and glad we went a little early. There were several dishes I wanted to try so the selection was very nice. Pricey with good service. Definetly would return on our next trip.

Loved the shrimp dishes, especially the apricot shrimp and Tuscan shrimp. Excellent meal in an historic cottage. Could offer more vegetarian selections, but the food was fantastic!

The atmosphere of this place is quite appealing. Most eating establishments in this area are large and rather noisy, but this restaurant is cozy and intimate. Most of the tables are located in a glassed in area with a nice view of the lake. The bar area is especially comfortable. Dimly yet adequately lit, with only a few tables for... More

Went there June 15th and although it is lodged in a tudor styled building there was nothing stuffy or english about the menu. Had a surperb scallops roasted in a whipped out acorn squash that was flavorful and I really enjoyed it. If you are in Bemus Point, NY save yourself the chance of having a poor meal (see my... More

This restaurant makes you feel you could be in England. The décor is outstanding. It is fun to eat there in the winter sitting next to the fire. The food is very good whether you are interested in a gourmet dinner or just bar bites. We love eating here & are probably there 3 times a month. Judy is probably... More

This may be the prettiest restaurant in one of the nicest village settings anywhere. That's pretty much the end of anything positive that I can offer - sadly. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but couldn't. We stopped in on a late spring evening. They weren't especially busy. Let's call the service 'leisurely'. The menu same right out of... More

A tried and true "go to" restaurant choice for my family, year after year. Delicious food, good drinks, great service, friendly and invested owners. We always love a visit to this establishment.
