Had a nice meal during our time in the area. Our waitress was super nice. You need to try the sun dried tomato and pesto appetizer. I woman we work with (Miss Jill Z) had recommended this place. She has great taste and vast experience with regional dinning so we have it a try. We were quite surprised how good it was. The ambience was certainly not upscale but it was...fun engaging and a really enjoyable place to be. The wait staff was lovely and the food was beautifully prepared. The bill was half what we usually pay for dinners out on Saturday. I go back there in a heartbeat. I can’t believe I’ve driven by it countless times over the past 20 years and never thought to go in. Last weekend we had another stinky but expensive lunch at Ellicott Ville brewery in Bemus point. Will never go back there again knowing that guppies it’s just a few miles away.More

My husband and I live in Erie and we LOVE Guppies! We go there about once a month. Their menu has something for everyone, although be sure to get the crab seafood dip with warm pita bread! Joe is our favorite bar tender and server...although they are all fantastic!More

It's not a frequent destination for us, at least it wasn't, but we end up returning to Bemis Point one way or another and when we do, we typically end up having a meal at Guppy's. The pandemic has changed things - how could it...not - and it affected Guppy's like everyone else in that the quaint little barroom does not allow bar side or table guests, but they did get very creative in other ways. In addition to the inside dining room and out side dining areas, they other gondola dining! That's right, you can dine with your own significant other, friend or family inside a cozy gondola that pretty cool. We had to do it. Tonight we tried the pizza for the first time and like our previous meals, it was very good. the service, atmosphere and food are really great here. Yeah, we'll be back again soon.More

This is unfortunate to write this. Guppy’s food and service is outstanding however I was really put out. I never complain about the prices or staff because everyone has a off day. However hen you charge $10.50 for a class of wine and it is...served in a cheap tiny plastic glass as was the beer. They make very nice wine glasses that are flat on the bottom. Even glass would work. If a glass breaks it the cost of doing business. Guppy’s don’t embarrass e your self. Step up and serve drinks properly or reduce the price because you refuse to serve properly. You are a good restaurant but failed on this nightMore

We stopped and waited, then waited some more, found some folks leaving the outdoor bar and guess what waited some more. Food wasn’t bad just not really worth the long wait. Seemed more like bar food than anything else, kind of normal for resort type...places.More

The woman at the hostess area was so personable and kind. The food was pretty good. It wasn’t amazing but definitely not bad. Would return if given the chance!

My grandson & I took time, for dinner; before Football practice starts! I had a fresh blueberry martini! I had their broiled fish, with delicious vegetables on top! I had cheeseburger soup, instead of French fries!! The soup was thick & very tasty! I was...so full; that I didn’t realize, I didn’t get my coke slaw!! 😩The corn bread was soft & scrumptious; & I had to eat it with a spoon! Colton had a pasta dish; which he enjoyed!! We have visited many places and this place met all our expectations. We did have a small wait for a gondola but we understand now since it was so good, it was worth it! We got a drink at their outside bar, loved the pineapple...mojito! Server was attentive and efficient. My wife loved the Cranberry Chicken Salad and I had the grilled hog wings. If you’re looking for a memorable meal or a quiet place to enjoy dinner and conversation, this isn’t the place. While the portions are...big (shareable), the food is average at best and a bit overpriced. However, the place always draws a crowd “in season” and the people watching is probably worth a visit. My suggestion, try appetizers and drinks and find dinner elsewhere.More

We had taken a short weekend trip to the Jamestown area and heard about Guppy's from several people as a popular place to go to eat but were told if you don't get there early especially on the weekend you will wait quite awhile to...get in so we arrived about 5:40 on a Friday and only waited about 15 minutes for an outdoor table. The nice thing was you could get a drink and wait outside under a tent you didn't have to sit in your car and wait. We were given a table outside by the bar in the corner which was great. Our server was Alexandra and she was adorable very friendly and knew the menu, it happened to be Mexican month with several specials....my husband had the Cajun wings then shook in hot sauce which he said were delicious (you cannot get wings in Buffalo right now) and I had the taco pizza which was different because instead of ground beef they put chili as their base, it was ok just had a chili taste and kidney beans on it which I didn't care for and it was pricey ( medium taco pizza $22.00) the crust was delicious though. We were there to be outside and enjoy the company. The thing I thought was so unique was you can actually eat in a gondola car in their lot which was fun, they have seats on both sides and small lights on the ceiling for ambiance.....(we didn't sit in one as I'm sure it gets hot in them in summer months they are small seat 4 adults) they also have chairs out front shaped like fish....a truly unique dining experience especially for kids. Some of their drinks also come in fish bowls and you get to keep the bowl when done, something to set them apart from other restaurants. It was a great fun experience as we always look for different types of places to eat when on vacation.More
