The restaurant was packed when we arrived but the hostess found us a small table near the live entertainment. The waitress was very friendly and helpful despite being very busy - she let us take our time. The food was delicious and creative. The live music while we ate was lovely and we enjoyed the wine/beer menus also! We'd definitely... More

Food was good. Portions were too small. Food quality inconsistent. The hostess made us feel rushed and pushed us to leave to free up our table. At that time there were other tables available. We even saw a table for four people, with just one person eating alone. Addionally, when these matters were brought to the attention of the management,... More

This is a treasure to enjoy. Just outside of Woodstock is this wonderful restaurant. The menu is interesting, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable. One of my favorite restaurants in the Catskills.

I had not been to Bear Cafe for a year or so until last Saturday late night, for various reasons. When I went back after attending a gallery reception at D Day Boutique (it has unique made-in-Woodstock jewelry/purses/etc and LA-made sunglasses, etc) on Tinker Street, and seeing "20th Century Women" at Tinker Cinema we decided to have supper at the... Close to the B&B and the food is delicious, bar that was packed. Not cheap but it's worth it. Nice streamside dining.

Loved the interior design and beautiful view overlooking a stone filled creek, and the food was excellent! Angus sirloin was great and side of brussel sprouts with hazelnuts and shallots was delicious!

Nice dinner on the outside deck. We were lucky to snag a table overlooking the creek. We very much enjoyed our dinner and the good wine selection.

Ambience, service, range, food, location... we loved it all. When we were shepherded out at the end of the evening we looked at our watches and couldn't believe we'd been inside of a couple of hours.

The Bear Cafe isn't bad. But had I known they're located 10 ft. from another outdoor, communal style outdoor dining area, I would have eaten there. The Bear was decent. The Beer was ice cold, the restaurant itself was very nice. we ordered the Mussels appetizer. The Mussels were nickel sized. Tasty little morsels. But Little being the key word.... More

This Asian restaurant stands out among the local restaurants because of its exotic and authentic cuisine and staff. It is a favorite among locals and has a dedicatred bar clientele,
