It is tucked in a small place across the street from Hudson Glass. A wonderful lunch with dishes new to me that were "just perfect."

Never should have come here in February. Its a tiny restaurant, with no alcove. Everytime anyone opens the door, the entire space gets very cold. Add to the fact that at least five times during our dinner, people actually stood in the door with it...ajar to inquire about whether there was space. Everyone eating was wearing their coat. Your must make reservations. Do not hold the door open. The food is amazingly good and not too expensive. Do not linger. They really need a bigger space.More

Based on the reviews and feedback first hand we were expecting to be blown away. That may be a bit unfair but just don't feel that the food warranted a 5 star dining experience. Great service and would still go back to try some more...of the menu items as we truly liked the creativity and mix of flavors.More

One of the best restaurant meals I've ever had. Lucky to nab a table on a holiday weekend as the place is well known for its excellence.

The kreplach was good. The blintz was ok. My husbands pappardelle was good. My friends risotto was undercooked. The vegetables and the rice were crunchy. My lasagna was lacking flavor and needed grated cheese but didn't come with any. The service was just okay. Didn't...experience enough positives to give it a second chance.More

We were the last reservation of the night at 9:30 PM and were 5 minutes late. They could not have been more welcoming. As it was late we just ordered 6 appetizers. They all looked so interesting. Having read a previous review about the appetizers...being small we figured the two of us sharing would be fine. Nope, these were not small in the least. We made it through 4 nibbled on the 5th and did not touch the 6th which was a large salad. My wife determined the soup was too good to share so i can't comment on it. The rest were fantastic the best being the chanterelles on a piece of slightly crisp and perfectly textured toasted bread. The kind that is charred just right. The others were also excellent and would order any of them again. The crab appetizer was rich and i would want to share it. The brisket in puff pastry was amazing though again there were three of them and two was enough to share. I am 6'2" and 210 lbs, as a reference. The sauce was on the side which was perfect for us. I love BBQ sauces and my wife is not into sweet on meat . The restaurant is small but laid out in a way that provided enough room between tables. It is a simple decor, clean and intimate. The service was truly excellent and above all friendly. Highly recommendedMore

My parents live five minutes away, so we were looking for a cute place to take them for my mom's birthday. Our server, Carley, was so attentive--not only to us, but also to all of the tables and arrivals (I believe there was another server/bartender...at the bar, and I'm assuming another server for the outdoor area in the back). Carley also did two amazing things: 1. ran out and down the block since a customer had forgotten their to-go box and 2. overheard me trying to convince my mom to get a drink for her birthday, and added a candle to our dessert! The food was truly creative, which I seldom see outside of the city unless at really expensive places. This place was above average in price, but you're getting significant portions, quality, AND creativity. We ordered the calamari (delicious with a kick!), porchetta, cauliflower, chicken, and ratatouille (I'm lactose intolerant and they were able to do it without cheese). Excited to go back and try more dishes!More

We had reservations as the inside area is small (outside area was available). The menu was most interesting with offerings I hardly see anywhere else. Being a picky eater, I did find several dishes that I could order. Our server, Brian was very helpful and...cordial. He checked with the kitchen about a food concern we have. There was no rush to finish and free up our table. I would certainly return.More

An interesting, small bistro-like place that can comfortably seat about 16 at tables, and another four at the counter, and features a basic, simple menu. When we first tried this venue they had these wonderful homemade pickled, fresh vegetable strips served in small glass Bell...canning jars. On this recent visit they were instead cut into cubes, and didn't offer the same selection - a slight disappointment. In our party of four, we each ended up having something different as an entree, and shared our apps at the table. The dinner course were prepared and all served together. Deserts were also unique and tasty. We like this place because the food is freshly prepared; the service is fantastic; and the menu is basic, yet different. A bit on the pricey side, but to be expected. As you can imagine, due to the physical size and growing popularity, if you don't have a reservation, you're likely not to be seated.More

It’s a 16 minute walk - 3/4 of a mile from the train station. Thanks for asking.

You could get possibly get out for $50 but it would be super tight with tax and tip. $75 would be much better. $100 would allow for drinks. It's a great place and totally worth the money.
