The food here is prepared with artistry, complexity and flavorful nuance with attention to detail that is rarely found. Every plate of food we were served, from appetizer to main, was delicious but also superbly plated. Service was super friendly, attentive and accommodating. Well done.
My spouse and I dined at Café Amarcord for dinner on a Friday evening in late September 2015. Café Amarcord is open Tuesdays through Sundays for lunch and dinner (closed Mondays). The Café accepts reservations via telephone and using the Open Table system. Parking is available on the street. Café Amarcord is located on the corner of Main Street and... More
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is always tasty and plentiful. Really enjoy the beet salad and the fish here. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the food prep. They have a nice selection of wines as well. They are very generous with drinks. Leave a little room as the desserts are worth it.
After five years in Beacon we finally went to Amarcord and liked it a lot. Certainly as good, if not better, than Cathryn's in Cold Spring. Nice vibe at the bar, good service and some interesting dishes.
The dinner was beautifully presented and the dishes were imaginative and showed a real care on the part of the chef. As for what should be recommended? Everything. The cocktails and wine list were worthy of the food.
Stopped in for dinner with my in laws this past weekend and had a great experience. The restaurant has a small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very cozy with a front seating area, a bar and a dining area in the back. The menu offered a number of options but did seem small in my... More
We had dinner here on the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Thank goodness we went early, because we did not have a reservation. The food was excellent and so was the service. If you are in Beacon, make Amarcord you first choice for dinner and be sure to make a reservation.
The menu selection was fairly wide and varied (although it could have had more non-meat and sea-food dishes) , but most importantly, the food was very well prepared and flavorful. The wine selection was good although not extensive. The wait person was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely return to this restaurant when I come through Beacon.
We arranged to meet friends for drinks at 5:30 PM and possibly dinner later, or maybe we would decide to go elsewhere for for dinner. Upon arriving (on a Thursday evening in October) we found every single bar-stool and each of maybe 15 tables unoccupied. We asked for a table to order drinks and said we may or may not... More
