Before the Covid 19 problem I went to Maria's , I ordered sea scallops. It came with rice . I paid $32 plus tip and tax total was $40. They served me 4 scallops and a lot of rice, Thats $10 per scallop. It does...not include anything else . No appetizer, soup , salad, dessert or coffee. Waiter was nice . Space is tight. Service was slow. I went to the Jolly Fisherman in Roslyn L.I. NY during the covid 19 pandemic for lunch and for $24 dollars plus tax and tip, got a choice of 8 appetizers , soup or salad , 8 sea scallops not 4 that was served at Maria's ,and it came with potato and vegetable , choice of 6 desserts and coffee or tea. Total was $30 vs $40 for a lot more . Nice waiter. Not so crowded during the week . Great space and fast service . Better atmosphere at the Jolly Fisherman with a view of the water inlet from the bay in lovely old town Roslyn. Both restaurants have free parking. Staff was nice and sitting is spacious and more formal. Better place for business or personal social occasion.More

A superlative service- cordial, prompt, safe and eager to please! Picked up four dishes that were warm, tasty and a grand portion for a superlative food.

An exceptional service, warm atmosphere, superlative food - an A+ experience. The meat platter was exquisite, the desert refined and the appetizers (squid, salad) filling. The discrete attentive manner of the owners and the waiters makes you feel at home. THANK YOU MARIA!

Had a family dinner at Maria’s the other night. The food and service couldn’t have been better. Their grilled branzino fish is out of this world The menu is somewhat on the pricy side but well worth it.

I have eaten here before and the food was good . We were a party of 4 . I ordered the scallops for $32 and when it arrived there were only 4 scallops . The total with tax and tip was $40 or $10 per...scallop. I couldn't complain because I was with business people and did not want to embarrass myself. I sent them an email and they never answered me . Poor value.More

My friend brought me to Maria’s which she frequents. The pita bread is warm and delicious! It was served with olives, beans and chick peas and carrots on the side. The salad that we shared was fresh with dressing that had a perfect balance of...tastes. My crab cakes with mixed steamed vegetables tasted really good even if the crab meat was mixed with finely diced veggies. Usually, I prefer 95-100% crab cakes. Their crab cakes have no bread crumbs which I name fake crab cake when other restaurants serve their so called crab cakes but are crumb cakes. The mixed veggies were fresh and crunchy. My friend’s stuffed flounder with spinach and cheese and a side of rice was also appetizing and big portioned. Our shared dessert was not as sweet so it was perfect. It had a pudding-like base, custard on top, whip cream and roasted nuts which enhanced the flavor. My friend knows the owner and chef, Ms. Maria, who I met while we were enjoying our lunch. Very nice lady! Our waitress was friendly and other staff were attentive. The valet moved the reserved sign that gave us a parking spot in congested Bell Blvd.More

Crowded and noisy but with all the great food and friendly service who cares? We sampled a lot, personally, I would have been happy with just the appetizers. The Grilled Shrimp and the Lamb Souvlaki were really good. We were so stuffed that the great...looking Greek pastries had to be passed on.More

I’ve been to Maria’s a few times and was very happy. Last week we took my brother in law for his birthday. First we ordered a cocktail The seltzer was flat and had to send back because I didn’t tast any alcohol. The rest of...our group were not happy either . The appetizers we excellent as always . Two people ordered the lamb shank. The meat did not fall off like it hadn’t cooked enough. The others in the group were not thrilled with their meals as I had raved about the food. Overall disappointed !More

The restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent. Our food was delicious. I ordered the Branzino (fileted) and it was cooked perfectly. My daughter's grilled shrimp were very flavorful and tender. A great experience all around.
