Perfect place for summers day. Beautiful pub garden. Staff give good service. Only fault is not enough car parking space due to population

I haven't eaten here yet but the menu looks great and so did what appeared on other people's plates. The pub is well staffed and friendly, it is a lovely old pub in an amazing setting. 5 minutes away is RSPCA Blackberry Farm so you can head over there to adopt an animal!

Meeting friends for a midweek evening meal. We were welcomed by keen and attentive staff who we would say carry out their role pleasantly and courteously. No worries there. Good bar and we had drinks outside enjoying the extensive view from tables in the gently sloping garden. Our own food was disappointing; we shared sardines starter which were dry since... More

We had a lovely relaxing evening at the Black Boy where the whole team were helpful, polite and made us feel really welcome. The restaurant was busy but the staff did a good job, they were constantly on the move and kept smiling throughout. The menu was inventive, with plenty of choice and a variety of cuisines. In our group... More

The views are fabulous here. The food and service is hit and miss. I've had excellent food and I've had mediocre food. I've also had excellent service and mediocre service - in that I mean the wait for food has been long, or the staff have not been consistent in their attentiveness. And who would care for pub prices but... More

I last ate here 3 years ago - my review wasn't kind! I ate here on Friday with my family and the food and service were sublime! Fantastic tapas style starter - the quality of the food was 1st class. The Steak burger is enormous! Sweet potato fries to die for and puddings from heaven! The kids menu is good... More

A gem set in a quintessentially English village. The Black Boy Inn has fabulous views across the Buckinghamshire countryside. The building is architecturally interesting. Service is friendly and engaging. Our meal was not only of a high standard, it was good value. The real ale was well maintained with each pint spot on. Wine was also of good quality. Recommended... Hadn't been to The Black Boy for several years. Enjoyed a lovely lunch, indoors, realistically priced. Friendly waitress. If weather permits lots of outside tables with amazing views. But if you book a table in advance inside ask for one with a view. Will be returning soon!

Lovely garden with a great family feel. The interior is very quaint and cosy too. All in all a lovely friendly place with great food. The only thing that let this place down for me was the service. Me and my fiancé went for a meal for his birthday. After getting drinks from the bar we were told to find... More
