My husband and I booked to have our wedding at The Chequers Inn, and it turned out to be the best decision we have ever made. After discussing the suitable package for us, we trusted Dritan, Ranka and their staff with the whole project. Result? The most beautiful wedding we had ever seen. Decorations and table layouts were ones to... More

It's such a rarity to repeatedly visit the same establishment and be unable to recount a single negative experience, so much so that I felt I finally had to share. To start, the venue is both warm and cosy whilst also maintaining a sophisticated and cleanly modern decor. You would just as readily pop in for a cold beer as... More

I can not praise the team at The Chequers Inn highly enough. We held our recent Christmas meal here for 25 people. They were superb in every way. In the planning and preparation. The husband and wife team could not do enough. They were flexible with numbers, they accommodated the members of the party who ate hallal and did not... More

We visited The Chequers Inn having read the previous good reviews and were not disappointed. On first arrival I was impressed with how clean the premises were. My husband and I had the roast beef and so did one of our daughters a children's portion. Our other child had chicken and chips but it was presented beautifully and I would... More

After a cold and dreary start to the wedding day it was wonderful to walk into the quaint country pub with the open fire already blazing. We were welcomed by warm smiles by all staff who were extremely friendly and were more than willing to cater to all needs of the customers, a few of whom were elderly and needed... More

One word really sums this up. Wow. The atmosphere warm and welcoming especially as it was a cold rainy day. The fire was kept stoked up and gave out a glow, making the whole room cheerful. The food was beautifully presented and the quality superb. It was a delight to eat it. The staff were all very obliging and lots... More

Once again we had a super night at The Chequers. This night was a 1920's themed dining experience where the excellent performance by the live quartet was perfectly matched by the superb service and attentive staff delivering delicious food. Each course was complimented by a specifically selected wine and the whole event began and concluded with 1920's cocktails. Dapper gents... More

Every year my husband and I go out for dinner on our anniversary and we (obviously) always try and find a new place which will give us a great meal. This year we cracked it! When we arrived they had decorated our table with little anniversary sprinkles - a lovely extra touch - and the service was very good throughout.... More
