Just had take out of mostly their specials tonight. As always , such love in each dish. Great pizza and wings. Mac and filet so good. Soups always awesome. Had seafood stuffed shrimp special tonight. Should have ordered two. Dined in last week and also...amazing. Try pierogi, Abeels pasta. House salad dressing a treat. During COVID make reservations as their are always lots of regulars. We were on vacation and celebrating our anniversary and I found this place on-line. Driving up, it really doesn't look like much, and even upon entering (into the bar area), we still weren't impressed. But then we were led to a very delightful dining room...that was intimate and decorated in twinkle lights. The waitress, Alicia, was delightful and very attentive. I had the NY Strip Steak that was cooked to perfection. I was so full from the entree that I didn't even eat the sides. My husband got the beef and ale stew topped with bleu cheese mashed potatoes and crispy fried onions which was delicious. It came with a side of carrots and purple turnips that were also uniquely presented. The presentation on both of our meals was also beautiful. We would definitely recommend this place for a wonderful meal. We also ordered a bottle of wine. The total with tax and tip came to $93.11More

We have owned a seasonal Camp nearby for decades and somehow never knew Abeel's existed. We found it; we loved it. Four of us enjoyed a great summer dinner out on the rear patio. Covid protocols professionally met and well-executed. Reservation acknowledged upon arrival and...we were immediately seated in a prime spot on the patio. We enjoyed good local draft beers and white wine. All four entrees (duck, veal, mac & cheese w/ a filet, and spaghetti & meatballs) were all excellent. House salads were simple but good. The tomato bisque soup was extraordinarily good. The dessert menu was surprisingly extensive and selections delicious. We are spreading the word among our friends as to how outstanding Abeel's is. We were impressed, and will definitely be returning.More

We have been regulars at Abeels ever since we shared our first sausage pie there more than 6 years ago. We prefer our pizza with light sauce and extra crisp and they always make it that way for us. They use quality ingredients like Parillo...Italian Sausage, made locally in Saratoga Springs. Owners, Julie and Tony are both friendly caring people, we are so happy to have found their restaurant; its somewhere we can go for consistently good quality food, nice atmosphere, and we know we are helping caring individuals keep their business going. Trust me, have a sausage pizza, you will be back, try the turkey pot pie, you'll be back, such good food, you'll be back!More

We went for dinner on a Sunday evening. It wasn't crowded at all, so I can't comment on service when it's busy. We had excellent service. Our waitress was prompt and attentive, refilling our water glasses but not being at all bothersome. The steamed clams...appetizer was delicious. The clams were large, well-cooked, and free of grit. I had an IPA which went very well with the clams. The IPA had a hint of citrus, which was perfect for a summer night, and was very thirst-quenching. My wife's red wine was not a great match for the clams, though it went well with her steak-covered macaroni. My pizza was very good, and substantial. I can usually finish off a large pizza myself but had to take half of this one home. The atmosphere was clean and somewhere between elegant and homey - nice enough that you'd not want to look too scruffy It would be a good spot for a dinner with family or friends.More

Saratoga is a madhouse during racing season, stuffed with overpriced mediocre restaurants. We have visited here 5 times and have not been disappointed-and that includes my demanding foodie son who is an Angeleno. He raved about the low country boil. This is a chef owned restaurant....And the chef is always creating variations on the standard menu. For example, the kielbasa appetizer has been a little different each time I have had it. I have long hesitated in writing this place up because I enjoy its low key atmosphere and friendly efficient wait staff. And I do not want to return on Travers day to find it packed with obnoxious tourists from away harassing servers and throwing their weight around. My only qualification is that I do not recommend the pizza.More

We had no trouble getting in without a reservation for a later Saturday evening dinner in April. The waitstaff were very cheerful, despite having been slammed earlier that evening. I had the salmon with raspberry sauce and it was terrific. The menu said it was...served with wild rice. It didn't look or taste like wild rice to me, as there were no black kernels. But nonetheless, the dish was really good. The hint of horseradish in the potato coating on the salmon was a nice balance to the sweetness of the raspberry sauce.More

My husband and I took friends to Abeel's Friday for an early dinner on 2/23/18. My husband selected his favorite meatloaf with bacon, female friend opted for a coconut crusted chicken entree while male friend and I selected the lemon-butter sauced veal. with a special...seasoned white rice side. I requested angel hair pasta for my dish which was a perfect al dente! All selections were excellent choices since everyone was commenting on how wonderful these dishes tasted through-out their meal. Dessert was wonderful as well and the ladies still manage to take half their portions home! Kudos to Tiny the chef and his wife: Julie as well as our attentive server: (Andrea?) Tips: This site is closed on Mon/Tues so I recommend if you come in over the week-end to make reservations, this place is also known for their pizza and quite busy from Friday night on just for take out! Also for those needing disabled parking, there is access at the rear of the building with a 2 level ramp access inside.I highly recommend this best-kept secret in the Milton-Ballston Spa area! Now it is one of our favorite places!More

Stopped here with two friends before going to The Spa Little Theater. Had a 5:30 reservation and were seated immediately on a Saturday. I ordered a glass of wine that came out very quickly. Skipped the salad and ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Figured it was...a good way to compare to other local restaurants. I thought it was great. Tender chicken on perfectly prepared angel hair spaghetti. Came with two pieces of garlic bread. I've never had better Chick. Parm. I will be going back soon to introduce the place to my wife. Highly recommend.More
