Staff was friendly and attentive. Mexican food was only okay. Go for ambience or convenience but the food was not very good: stick to basic sandwiches or burgers.

Stayed in Motel Safari who recommended this place for dinner. They had good mexican/american menu and some nice decorative elements.

Ate at Pow Wow last night, staff were lovely and very accommodating - food was very nice, extremely tasty. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of the motel I was staying in that evening - excellent recommendation.

Local motel suggested this place. Shuttle came and picked up our group of 8. Was worried it was a bit sketchy at first, but really it was just a nice convenience offered by a local business trying to get some tourist business in the door. Stuffed sopapillas were great. No cheese dip...humm. Good salsa. Cold beer. On the border of... More

Very interesting restaurant. We didn't have a vehicle at a RV site comma so we called the restaurant and they actually send someone to pick us up and brought us back after dinner I thought that was very nice for business food was really pretty good heard about them to the word of mouth while visiting the Kmart in Tucumcari

We arrived in town late on a Sunday afternoon. This place was the only sit down restaurant open. Staff was friendly, food was average, the beer was cold.

Service was a little slow, but the food was excellent. Hubby loved his cheddar burger and hand-dipped onion rings. The burger was huge. I had the tostadas, but I could only eat one because it had so much on it. Salsa was excellent, but I didn't care for the deep-fried chips. Too crunch for my taste. The decor is very... More

From reading previous reviews I had to visit the Pow wow and Lizard Lounge. Chips were great as was the salsa. I had the small rib eye and enchiladas. I also had their chicken and rice soup which came with my meal and included a fresh salad bar. That soup was one of the best I have had in ages.... More

Still on the road trip, but back to Tucson by tomorrow night. Trust me, I eat at Mexican restaurants all the time, and I am so picky I annoy myself. Chips and salsa were awesome. The Mr and me both had cheese enchiladas, I had the red and he had the green sauce. Mr. Desert Rat said the green sauce... More

We ate dinner here because we were told it was the only place open at the time. If you have any other options, I would skip the Pow Wow.
