I had heard mixed information about whether the LaCita was still in operation or not. I had passed it earlier in the day and it looked deserted. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told at the museum that it was indeed in operation. We walked in right at noon and were greeted very pleasantly and served a wonderful light... More

Once I realized that this building was actually the home of a real, functioning restaurant, I absolutely had to go. Just because... My husband (who was extremely skeptical, by the way) and I both had the chili rellenos and were truly blown away. They are New Mexican style, so they are breaded in panko and fried - and these were... More

Just have to say, Really great food, great people and great manager and staff. Their burrito dinner plate and a lot of other dinner plates are very awesome and very tasty and filling.

Not sure what we ate. Not familiar with the name of the food. It was okay, but wish I would have stuck with the burrito.

Lacita is a cute building we decided to stop even though it was not real inviting. Could use a freshen up out side, well inside too. When we went in my husband tried to back out.But I said we was there let's try. Carpet needs removed or cleaned. The decor was none. Well at the front there was but not... More

The sopapilla stuffed with beef and green chili over it was very good and the beans and rice with it made a great meal. The girls were very friendly and helpful. The rest of the menu looked like it would be a good place to come back to with quite a variety of different selections. The establishment was clean and... More

This is a very small town and most restaurants serve Mexican food but I would say this place has very authentic food. Very reasonably priced. Food served fast and with a friendly server. Definitely will stop here again on our way through town.

This is Mexican food like your Mexican grandma would make with some special touches. The chili rellenos are delicious. Mexican cheese in a chile, rolled in buttermilk, then Pancho crumbs, fried until golden brown and cheese runs soft. Best I have ever had. Only thing I didn't like was the tamale. Uninspired, and bland. Combo plate with 4 items, rice,... More

Was on my way to another highly rated Mexican place from TripAdvisor and drove past La Cita, something told me to stop and eat here instead. I'm glad I did! Excellent, excellent food!

Authentic mexican food! We stopped in Tucumcari on our drive back to OKC from Phoenix. Waitress was friendly and very helpful. Food was served hot and everyone loved it, even the 14 month old.
