Yummy rice dishes and buffalo sirloin. Chocolate Pyramid desserts to die for. Great staff took care of us.

We walked here from the hotel we were staying at on Superbowl Sunday.I had the Bison Ribeye while my wife had the Blue Corn Tamales with both red and green sauce. Both were well prepared and very tasty. The wines we had with dinner were also very...good.Above the Bar is a beautiful stained glass window with rendition of the Historic Dam at Elephant Butte. This place is upscale for T or C but is not overly priced we would gladly return.More

The food is consistently very good and the best atmosphere for miles and miles. If you are looking for something special and don't mind spending a little more, this should be on the top of your list. Nothing in T or C compares to ?Ted...Turner's little place, a hidden gem!!!!!More

I went to this after being told it was on my level of expectation. It didn’t disappoint. The only thing that was negative is there was no salt and pepper on the tables and EVERYTHING was lacking in salt including the dough in the apple...pie. I really enjoyed the black forbidden bowl! I could have gone without the pie, not really worth the price but over all the service was great. Both ladies working did a great job and I will be back for sure!More

I didn't expect the bison ribeye to be so chewy even though I ordered it medium rare. For an additional $8, I've ordered the Crab Bearnaise sauce. It was just crab & perhaps 3 tablespoons of sauce. I was a bit disappointed that the sauce...wasn't infused with the crab meat. The gluten free bread was freshly baked but hard as a rock. The staff was very helpful but the food needs improvement.More

The restaurant is small and staff seemed to be doing double duty. However, they were welcoming and friendly. We sat at the bar for a while before our dinner reservation. We were greeted promptly, but obviously the person who greeted us could not serve alcohol....She didn't explain that, but it did take awhile for someone to come who could pour our drinks. We had reservations for dinner, which probably weren't needed, but we were seated at the appropriate time. Service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour to get our food. When my steak was served it was quite underdone, so I had to send it back. My husband's ribeye was quite chewy. My filet, once cooked to medium rare, instead of very rare, was very tasty. The menu is fairly limited, but overall we had a nice quiet meal and, since we were not in a rush, the wait was not a problem.More

This place used to have Pecan Crusted Chile Rellenos. They were small but tasty. We ordered them again but got your typical Chile Rellenos ☹️ Big disappointment. Should have sent them back but we were hungry. Then we ordered the bean tostadas (2). Another big...disappointment. Small and not what I expected especially for $14. Not sure if I want to go back and try other menu items. Probably not. Good other restaurants to choose from.More

Ate here with a group of sixteen. Quick, efficient, friendly service and tasty food. Nice space with lovely decorations. Would definitely eat here again.

It's the first time here for dinner. The food and service was excellent. Portions were just right. Two in the party had the Sierra Grande Spa Bowl, one had the Forbidden Black Rice bowl with grilled shrimp and the other had a kale salad with...bison. Everyone was pleased with their main course choices. We had the Chile Relleno appetizer which was huge and was very tasty. Overall and excellent meal all around. We will return. The chef made gnocchi this evening and I was so tempted to try it it sounded absolutely scrumptious but we were all trying to have healthy fare and tonight's meal fit the bill.More

Our celebration dinner at the restaurant left a sour experience with us. At the start the server, Tracy was friendly and attentive. She even told a story about some diners from the previous evening. We enjoyed our wonderfully prepared food but then after finishing seemed...to wait 10 to 15 minutes before another server came by, offered boxes and a dessert menu.Ten minutes after receiving the dessert menu, the hostess came by and asked if we would like to order dessert. We said yes but thought that we had to place our order with the waitress as previously indicated. She said that Tracy "was slammed" but she would relay the message. We placed our order with the hostess. When the dessert came out Tracy firmly set it on the table with 2 spoons and walked away without interacting with us. The other server happened to be walking by and I requested forks and to speak with a manager. At this time he revealed that he was the assistant manager and asked if there was something he could help with. We told him of our experience, the missing waitress and her last interaction with us. We had both lost our appetites at this point and unclear why we were at the receiving end of this treatment. He asked what he could do to appease us but at this time it was beyond repair. When Tracy brought the check she smiled, thanked us for coming and said that the dessert was on the house. We could care less about receiving free food, we expect to be treated kindly at a place that relies on customer service. We were guests at the lodge and breakfast service was like day compared to the night before, but that experience soiled our experience and my memory of the lodge. We will not be dining there again and it is unlikely that we will lodge there as well.More
