Excellent Southwest Cuisine

De La Tierra offers a varied menu. The southwestern options, though, are very good. The Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas were some of the best I have ever had. Other items we recommend: tortilla soup; blue corn calamari; cobb salad; and biscochito cheesecake!

When all your left with is the bad impression your waiter left, it's not a good meal. On his first visit he commented on the discussion my family was having in a sarcastic disapproving tone. He later asked us where we are from and then loudly wondered, "what are you doing here?" since we are from New York. De La... More

Had chicken enchiladas which were the best I have had in the South West. Wife had soup and salad and thought that it was also great!

Evening of Nov 2, 2015. For appetizers, we had the bread service and wagyu beef carpaccio. The carpaccio was fixed with bechamel sauce and topped with arugula. For the main course, my husband had hand-cut pasta and prosciutto and I had seared ahi tuna with asparagus and corn risotto cake. We each drank a glass of Spanish wine. The meal... More

We had dinner here in this oasis of peace during a trip to Taos. We had a choice of the fine dining room, the garden room, or the Anaconda Bar. We chose the garden room, a lovely place with tropical trees and plants and a waterfall in one corner. The menu had entrees startimg at about $29 and going up.... More

Visited this restaurant same time last year and return for a girls weekend. I raved about this restaurant so we decided our last night would include dining at De La Tiera. What a mistake that was..... First they couldn't find our reservation, then our waiter wanted to rush us through dinner. When he took our order he didn't write anything... More

Food is very gourmet but still feels approachable. Don't forget to try some of their signature drinks from the bar, they are super tasty.

If you are hungry, eat before you go. Ordered the elk chops dinner for $39.00. Of course, salad extra. Extra for bread too? Bad enough, but the meal consisted of 2 minuscule pieces of meat which were the equivalent of 2 small meatballs. It was small for an appetizer, let alone dinner. Manager said that was the portion size as... More

My husband had the 6oz filet with lobster risotto. Marvelous. I chose the chicken dish and loved it. The mashed potatoes with green chiles were excellent. The jalapeno margarita from the bar is a must have...any margarita from the bar is a must have.
