This was the biggest rip off. We used to come here and stay when it was the original owners. Now, when we come for a day visit from Santa Fe, and stop here for a meal it continues to go down hill. There were literally four people at the bar, we couldn't get service, my boyfriend had to go to... More

Have visited here a couple of times, both times not very busy. Overall food generally good, service just so-so, a bit pricey for what it is. Seems like it wants to be an expensive-fancy restaurant. Probably good for special occasions.

Inside El Monte Sagrado, a very nice resort. De la Tierra has a wonderful staff and beautiful decor but as with otherTaos fine dining restaurants the menu is lacking. The bar is great and we found a great Pinot. Because there are no appealing American Cuisine entrees I rate de la Tierra as very average.

My friend and I stayed at El Monte Sagrado for four nights recently, and dined at De La Tierra on two of those nights. The first night we were exhausted from travel (she had flown from Minneapolis, I had driven from Phoenix), and the delicious meal was most welcome. The setting is absolutely beautiful, the artwork lovely. Over our two... More

De La Tierra really was a fabulous way to celebrate a memorable event. Dinner was not only delicious but also beautiful. The waitstaff was kind and prompt without being a nuisance. We ended the evening with a delicious take on tres leches cake that will not soon be forgotten.

Never very busy when we were there off-season in mid-April. The service seemed surprisingly slow, whether during dinner-time or at breakfast. The menu was pretty average, and I would love to see the chef take a fresh look at a modern twist on Southwestern cuisine options. Why not take it to a whole new level and make the restaurant at... We ordered Pellegrino, but were told they were sold out. After food was served, the waitress disappeared, although only two tables were occupied in entire restaurant; she did not check on us after main meal was served. Eventually, the manager came by. I had ordered the pork chimichanga, which had only one small tidbit of pork; all the rest was... More

After going to another restaurant and not liking it. We decided to go to De La Tierra which was more convenient since we were staying at El Monte Segrado. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was our 10 year anniversary dinner and the food was great. Would go back any time.

Dinner was expensive and for the most part not very good. Very disappointing! Had to send back my granddaughter's burger that was burnt. My Caprese Salad was made with a dehydrated Mexican cheese that was tough. I normally love Mexican cheeses! My daughter's single chile relleno was very good.
