Well , it was a Thursday night dinner for 5 . We had booked the day before , after reading all the great reviews and also being recommended by our hotel . We arrived on time at 7pm via the back door , past the kitchen, glanced over to the chef to which I greeted her with a smile and... More

Beautiful room....owner does the heavy lifting....chef is very strong with special attention to presentation. Menu limited.....each dish special. A Taos treasure. Don't miss this one.

Went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening and was disappointed. Ordered a Thai curry-based, shrimp dish which was too hot (not advertised as being hot), and very small, low-grade shrimp. My boyfriend had a pork tenderloin dish which was much better in quality and taste. They also have a limited bar, with unimpressive choices. Overall, this restaurant can be... More

This place is the best kept secret in Taos. When you go, take your time and savor every bite, every moment. Order dessert. Talk to the staff. Indulge in the chocolate. Restaurants like this let us live our lives to the fullest!

Byzantium is a little off the plaza, and a little off the beaten track. You won't find a website and the chef doesn't own a cell phone. But what he may lack in technology is more than made up for in flavorful cuisine and creative menu. He uses fresh ingredients arranged artfully. Each entree is bursting with flavor, and each... As recommended by the guide sources, I made a reservation, but it really was not necessary. The host was very friendly and efficient, but the house salad was half filled with spoiled lettuces. The curry shrimp was tasty, but the ingredients were mushy and overcooked.

Saw good reviews, so we went to dinner there. The surroundings are a bit funky and the place is modestly adorned, so our expectations were cautious. There is an Asian influence to the menu as you can order a Thai dish or an all American dish or a Mexican dish. All four of our entrees were exceptionally good. A relaxing... More

1st I would say you MOST LIKELY do not need a reservation because this place is a DUD. Very pricey we had 3 glasses of wine and 2 appetizers (we had asparagus soup and some type of kabob ) and it cost over 80.00. Nothing would bring me back to this place.

So looking at the reviews we had mixed feelings about it but tried it anyways. We are glad we did. It is a tiny place and very cozy. It does have a Beatnik atmosphere with smooth Jazz playing and the owner playing the role of server and cook. It is our kind of place. I got the pork loin and... More

This place was a little tricky to find but a Hidden Gem! We had the Pork Tenderloin, Tomato Soup, and The Filet mignon. Everything was top notch and very kid friendly. We are staying at a hotel nearby and we got recommendations of here. The Tomato soup was very light and hearty. Will definitely come back if we are in... More
