This quintessential staple of Taos needs to modernize its facilities. It has the appearance of a greasy spoon, and the wait staff is not friendly at all. Food this expensive should taste better. My grandma can make a better cup of coffee, and she's dead!

Four of us ate at Michaels Kitchen for the first time. The menu was extensive. We were surprised at the green chili. It was tan in color something we have not experienced in New Mexico. The taste was OK. It only came with small bits of hamburger in in - no vegetarian. Our meal was fine and the service was... More

Stopped by in the morning for some cinammon rolls andpastries. Oh so delicious and well priced. So the next day we returned for dinner. We had a stuffed sophopia. OMG. That was so delicious and it fed two of us.

We were a party of 6. Service was good. We had traditional types of food ranging from pancakes, omelettes, biscuits and gravy and a kids plate. The food was fine but nothing over the top. The pastries looked great but we did not try them.

Starting out on a long drive home, all we wanted was coffee to go. Stopped in to see about that and maybe a pastry, and ended up having one of the best breakfasts. The place is quirky and fun and oh so friendly. We split an enormous breakfast burrito with delicious red and green chili and also split an even... More

We had a large party walk in for breakfast. There was a long line, but it was worth the wait. The fresh warm donuts were amazing. The kids ate every bite of their breakfast and the adults loved there's also. everything we had on the menu was great.

We were tourist - Recommended by a shop owner. Sat next to a 83 year old ski instructor who has been there since retiring as a surgeon in Manhattan 20 plus years ago. Food is memorable in the best possible way. Service the way you want it. Prices are low, portions are huge. Flavor is off the charts. The bakery... More

This is a local "mom and pop" kind of place in Taos and it always has a crowd. We liked it so much, we ate there for dinner one night and went back the next morning for breakfast. If you want authentic Mexican food, then you will like this place! and if you don't want Mexican, there are plenty of... More

Family-owned since the 70's, Michael's Kitchen is a Taos staple, and for good reason. The food is very good! They serve local favorites, like Breakfast Burritos, and they also are known for their baked goods. I recommend avoiding them when it's busy, and returning when things quiet down. Classic New Mexico diner vibe. They also serve lunch and dinner. Friends... More
