We're glad we tried this place with its delicious slow-cooked BBQ and authentic New Mexican food. The chili rellenos were the best we've had in a long time and the brisket was really flavorful (great sauce)! We were particularly impressed with the delicious margaritas the bartender (great guy) made with fresh lime juice... the best we've ever had! Easy parking... More

The food was good and service was good until it was time for the check. We waited quite some time before anyone came around to ask for the check. We went in July and there was no air conditioners, so it was pretty warm in restaurant.

The Chili Chicks of Taos had their July Luncheon at Casa de Valdez. 15 delicious meals served hot and fast. I personally had the lunch special.........slow roasted pulled Pork sandwich, salad and homemade Chicken noodle soup. Excellent. Great customer service.

I have lived in Taos many years and began eating at Casa de Valdez a few years ago. I used to frequent other Mexican restaurants because they were more centrally located in town. However, Casa de Valdez, especially driving from Santa Fe into Taos, is located south of the plaza. They make the best margaritas anywhere in town. Their service... More

The chicken enchiladas & margaritas were good. The fajitas were tasteless. The burgers were good & so was the service although it took quite a while to get our food even though the restaurant was pretty empty.

Hi Dawhn, We’re happy you stopped by to try out Casa and glad that your enchiladas, burger, margaritas, and service were all good. It’s too bad the fajitas weren’t to your liking, and as you said tasteless. The spicing that we use on the fajitas is homemade will our own special ingredients and not straight out of a bag. Our... We had a bbq sandwich and tamales. Homemade flavor for sure. Great flavors and good size helpings. We were here at lunchtime after 1 and not crowded. Staff attentive and friendly. Clean restaurant and restroom.

This place was recommended by our hotel staff. She must know somebody who owns the place. I even read the reviews on here before going and was still not impressed. I had a very expensive bbq sampler that was small portions and way overpriced. The rest of my friends ate Mexican food and all thought it was overpriced.

Kevin, thank you for taking the time to leave this review. It is well appreciated to know that our restaurant was recommended by hotel staff and a local business. I apologize if you thought our food was overpriced, however our prices are very comparable to similar restaurants; as I am sure you noticed when you dined at other restaurants in... More

Great brisket and Mexican place. Portions are very generous. A pretty restaurant that is spotlessly clean. Service was very attentive.

The BBQ was pretty good but very small. This was their sampler plate with ribs, brisket & chicken that cost $30 with tea & tip. I actually took this pic as a you've got to be kidding me shot. As the former owner of a BBQ Joint that served big portions (at much cheaper prices) I was quite disappointed in... More
