Amazing vegetarian and vegan food in heart of Taos. While the owner, Tamer, was in fact preparing a meal for us, he welcomed us into his kitchen almost as partners. He enjoys talking about food and what he's doing, but in a welcoming and open way. Inspiring use of plants and nuts.

Server was condescending and I was given a lot of unsolicited advice when all I wanted was some food. I was also made to decide how much money I wanted to pay for the meal, there were no set prices. Wow. So awkward. I wish the best for everyone but this was not a good system.

It's true. It is a weird place but we consider ourselves more of a service than a restaurant. We offer food that is organic and made fresh. I am sorry the owner seemed condescending. Wish I were there to respond to that. As you see from other reviews, that is usually not the case. So I offer an apology to... More

This place is quite amazing. I really enjoyed the special care for each dish drink and dessert. It was so good I tried everything. Also really enjoyed sitting at the bar in this cozy kitchen. Not to be missed.

I had a friend visiting that was on an all raw diet. We went to Raw to Go. . I was impressed. What a pallet pleaser this place is (and I'm not even a raw food fanatic). I had the coconut smoothie. . was filled up to the max. I wanted to order a fresh salad with kale and sprouts,... More

My boyfriend and I found out about this place from trip advisor, and we are glad that we did! They were actually scheduled to close at 4 pm when we stopped by at 4:30 pm, but they were happy to throw together some food for us. We shared a Taos bowl, a raw salad, some "sushi", and some complimentary apple... More

Be brave. The food is great, not just good for you, and the spirit is one of peace and harmony. Not in a new-age way, but more like in a semi-hippie idealist way. Seek out this tiny spot, go back if they are not open when you arrive, and ask for recommendations based on your general likes and dislikes. The... More

A little postage stamp of a restaurant. Tiny, tiny, tiny. Closet-sized, but friendly, funky, creative, soulful, nourishing, and most importantly -- delicious. Go. You'll be glad you did.

This tiny restaurant is big on value and knowledge of raw food. It serves organic and mostly raw. I highly recommend the desserts. Call in advance. In the winter it is to go only and the hours and days vary. The kale smoothie is addicting.

This restaurant is a delight! There is no set menu- they prepare whatever is fresh and available locally. I had a spring roll with jicama, pecans, greens, onion that was wonderful. They also had a pot of soup/stew with sprouted rice, black-eyed peas and carrots that was hearty and delicious. When I was leaving, I asked how much I owed... More

Description
We are the only organic plant-based vegan restaurant in town, with raw vegan being the main cuisine and vegetarian, another important aspect. In the winter we have a hot, cooked soup and grain that create the popular Taos bowl, a layered meal of greens, soup, grains, and salad items. The small portions costs $5.75 and the large is $8.75. It's a total vegan, vegetarian meal and a raw version can be made, especially in the summer. The rest of the menu is raw vegan, including appetizers, burgers, specialty meals, salads, breads, crackers, pates, pizzas, and we make awesome raw vegan desserts. Most is gluten-free, organic, and vegan. If there are any exceptions, for instance, honey added, we tell you. We customize all food. Call for the menu, if you are in a hurry. Don't forget this is slow food, not fast food. There is some inside seating for the winter. But the heat of the sun on the patio warms as the day progresses in winter and so outdoor seating is still available. We are closed the month of November. We are also open nights Friday and Saturday 5:30 - till closing at 8 or so for the summer.
