Stumbled on this place by accident but what a pleasant surprise. It’s small, and along the main road so you might miss it if you aren’t searching for it. The host was wonderful and provided us with first class service. The food was well prepared....We only wanted a light bite and so shared he Baja fish tacos. Outstanding from start to finish. The prices are good and we will try to get back there before our trip ends. Highly recommended!More

On this trip, we’ve eaten a lot of Mexican food across the southwest, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and terrific flavor of our meals! The chicken fajitas were good, and the chili rellenos were outstanding!! The rellenos were spicier than many...I’ve eaten, but they were some of the very best. Texture of the crunchy breading was perfect, and the chipotle aoli was a nice addition. Our service was great. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return next time we’re in Taos.More

Not impressed. Barbacoa street tacos without flavor, only one tortilla each, so falling apart, overpriced, in my opinion. I've had much better in lots of places. I live in New Mexico, so don't have tourist taste buds. Not sure how they earned good reviews.

On the lookout for something less commercial than a place that did beer-battered fish, we found Jalapenos Tacos and were so glad we did. The jalapenos rellenos con queso were superb and the tacos were good too. The service was quick, the little restaurant was...clean and comfortable – what's not to like?More

On the way back from Santa Fe, we stopped in Taos for a mid-morning breakfast. We tried Michael's despite it being low on our list of eateries. I've always found their Mexican dishes entirely too bland and lacking in imagination. With a 40 minute wait...time, we opted for elseplace, with Leece pointing out a little hole-in-the-wall outfit just south of the square on the main drag. Jalapeno's Tacos and More turned out to be a gem, with a chorizo breakfast burrito that far surpassed anything Michael's ever dreamed of turning out. The Squeeze went for a carne asada, which was also quite good. The green chile sauce on these dishes is perhaps one of the best we have ever snuffled. Service was very good. The bathroom was very clean and well-maintained. It's a small establishment, with limited parking. Access at the moment is a bit challenging due to road construction.More

Excellent food & service. Showed up just before closing and you would’ve never known. Owner was as nice as can be. Cute and clean place too. One of the best in town.

A simple restaurant on the main road through town; we wanted something quick, got fantastic dishes in a short time, just right for lunch. Very well prepared.

I’ve been eating chile rellenos across New Mexico for the last month, and this is the BEST Chile Rellano I have ever had!!! It was a poblano chile and most of the rellenos have been Hatch (t’is the season), but I would definitely stop her...for another one on these. Service was quick, friendly and the food was excellent!More

It's conveniently located along the the way to Santa Fe. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working.   This restaurant still has that old time family feel. I had the steak, street tacos, they were...delicious each had a nice thin slice of avocado in them, which was a nice touch. The food was well prepared, hot and delicious.More
