The food, the atmosphere, and the service all conspire to make The Love Apple a memorable experience. The menu is fresh and innovative, with lots of interesting and unexpected flavors you won't find elsewhere. Housed in an old church, Love Apple's atmosphere is, at once, rustic and chic. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to recommend something to... More

I think we would have enjoyed this more if we knew it was cash only. We were worried the whole time ordering we wouldn't have enough cash and were having to figure it up on the calculator on our phone. We had the Simple Salad which as good, the quesadillas with homemade tortillas which was good and the gnocchi which... More

Some years back, we were turned on to The Love Apple in Taos and we tend to turn others on to it when we bring out-of-town friends to Taos. I don't know if we actually love the food or if it's just an interesting environment with imaginative fare. I have mixed feelings but lean toward thinking that it's really very... More

Some of our experience was very good and some was very average. They only take cash or checks -- no charge cards. Waited quite awhile for our dinner after ordering. Bourbon dates appetizer was delicious. Gnocchi was gummy with hardly any tasso ham (after paying extra for it). Trout was delicious and no bones (wonderful). Mole with tamale was very... More

Teen and I wanted something other than the usual Mexican/Southwestern fare. We stumbled on The Love Apple and ordered an assortment of appetizers and a main dish. All were freshly prepared with taste that explode in your mouth. Teen loved the food and her vegetable gnocci, seasonal salad, tomato soup and charcuterie sampler. Food and service were terrific.

We had dinner on the patio which was lovely. Our salad was great, and they split it for me and my husband at no extra charge. It was plenty for two. He had the trout and I had tacos. The trout looked great but not a ton of food. He was not feeling well so I don't think he was... More

We have not been to this restaurant in a couple of years, and have always had wonderful meals here. Our last visit was no exception. We went with friends and sat at a comfortable table outside - this area did not exist when we were last here. Rain storms were threatening but the outdoor area was covered so no worries.... More

My husband and I went for dinner last night while visiting Taos. The setting is pretty, the food was ok however the proprietors manners were shockingly bad. Jennifer Hart has let both her chef and her waiters down by her rude manner when getting a drink order wrong and when questioned insulting both my English husband and I (Irish). Ms.... More

My wife and I were staying right next door at Hacienda del Sol, and decided to try the Love Apple. This was the best meal, by far, of our 10 day trip in the Colorado and New Mexico mountains, which says something because we had a lot of great meals, especially in Taos/Santa Fe. The prices are very reasonable, the... More

We decided to try this restaurant based upon reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. Reservations are recommended, but were got there fairly early in the evening and we were able to be seated quickly (this was a Tuesday night). Our service was excellent, our waitress recommended a couple of nice white wines, which we really enjoyed. We ordered the yellow... More
