My husband and I enjoy fine dining wherever we travel in the world. One of the most unpleasant situations is being in the middle of a romantic dinner when a baby/young child starts screaming. if the parents were considerate that child would never be in a fine restaurant, however, if they choose to bring an infant to a fine restaurant... My husband took me to this restaurant for my birthday last week, and boy, was this an experience! The evening started out nice as we enjoyed our appetizers but then my 23 month old son started crying. Before we could try to calm him down the lady who was acting as hostess (and we understand is one of the owners)... More

You son was not crying – he was screaming at the top of his lungs and he did it several times. It was so loud that the kitchen staff heard it and asked me what was going on. It just amazes me that parents like you think this is okay. This is so disrespectful to everyone especially the customers who... More

We had an amazing dining experience at El Meze. We were a large party and every dish was delectable. The rib eye was incredible, far beyond just a good ol' steak. The tamale dish was out of this world! We were all incredibly impressed with the service and attention to detail. We were never left wanting for anything. We had... More

Don't miss this! Great food, great flavor and great service. Best buffalo ribs around. Reservations are usually needed and wise to call ahead.

If you want exquisite food, wine, and service--and you are willing to pay for it--this is the place to go! Menu is Spanish/Mediterrean with a flare for fascinating flavor combinations. Case in point: the Blue Cheese Stuffed Fried Green Olives are tasty starting points if you don't mind the salty flavor. Michael was the best waiter we have had in... More

This was a real change, since my husband and I had never been here in winter. The indoor setting was cozy and initimate as opposed to the expanse of the great outdoors in the summer months. I was very surprised that there had been NO menu changes and there were no additional offerings. The menu is limited which is not... More

I usually don’t comment on 4 plus star reviews but I was really taken back by your comment that you had been to the restaurant in the summer (July and Aug) and came back in the winter (Feb) and claimed there were “NO menu changes and there was no additional offerings”. We do have our core items like any restaurant... More

We had reservations for 10 people at El Meze on a Saturday night. The food was consistently amazing. We had a mix of small plates and entrees. Each dish was distinct and tasty. The selection was wonderful and everyone found something they wanted. I highly recommend the trout and I heard rave reviews of the buffalo dish as well. Dessert... More

Will be back again and again. Such a friendly and cozy place to dine. I felt like a member of the family, as the proprietors came by several times to chat and see how my meal was (I dined alone this evening). I'd heard about this place, but it was even better than expected!! :))

There's nothing new I can add to all the other positive reviews about this resuarant. My wife and I happen to be the first ones there one evening so it was quite and romantic. The waiter (Steve) was very friendly and a joy to talk with. The food excellant. Atmosphere.....just what you want for an evening out.

My wife and I came here after reading the Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Yes, the restaurant is small, two rooms, with a short menu and wine list. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We ordered the collard greens and fried green olives from the share plates. The collard greens were excellent, especially with the... More
