At age 68, I was the youngest person in this joint. Not that that matters too much, but the ambiance was definitely....old peeps. I ordered the fish and chips and it was pretty good for frozen stuff flash fried. Service was good. Best thing on the plate was the fries. Maybe I should have ordered Mexican food...

My wife and I have stopped there for lunch in Santa Rosa N M on several occasions. The staff is very courteous and the owner and chef came out and visited with the customers. It is primarily a Mexican food restaurant. The food is very good and desert is a good pudding or they have fresh baked pies.

This seems to be one of the only restaurants in town so it was very busy. They only had two women working so the service was not the greatest.... More

Comet II was recommended right off the bat by our hotel check-in staff. We only had time for a quick lunch, but we were helped promptly and the food was good. Our drinks were refilled as needed and the owner even came by and talked with us for a few minutes. We were pleasantly surprised considering this is a pretty... More

All of the sites highly recommend this place, perhaps that was the problem. I wanted really good Mexican food in New Mexico but I've had much better in the Midwest. It wasn't bad, but not what I was hoping for. Our waitress was very kind and helpful.

When we first came in, this guy that worked there just stared at us for the longest time. No one greeted us. I had to ask him if they were closed. He said they were open and we could sit wherever. We did. Food was bland. Servers and people that worked there were not friendly or inviting. Two of our... More

This restaurant looks very common but serves excellent food quickly with gracious service. Set aside preconceived notions and treat yourself. By the way they surprise you with dessert after dinner!
