Homestyle place, like a lil old western home converted into a homey restaurant with an old western bar at the front. 2nd Best Green Chile Burger anywhere (See review for Sparky's down the road in Hatch). Decent service, but here it's all about the food. Drinks come in a can with a plastic solo cup, again it's about the food.... More

I was seated quickly and my order of a cheeseburger was taken. Ten minutes later my burger came and it was very good, but it's still just a hamburger. Lightening doesn't flash and the earth doesn't shake as some of the hype would lead you to believe. I was completely satisfied with the entire experience, but when you're finished, you've... More

Had to try out the famous buckhorn grill. It was as expected and more, if you get a chance to ask for something special make sure you get the side dish of sarcasm served up by the owner. We had a good time but would not go back for the food. The Rio green chilies fries with ground hamburger are... More

Stop here for the Green Chile Cheeseburger! It rules!!! If you're heading to or leaving from Albuquerque on I-25, or coming out of the mountains on US 380, stop here, seriously. It's just so tasty.

This place lived up to the expectations! My friend and I both ordered the Green Chile Cheese burger and french fries. Both were excellent. The only complaint would be that our server didn't mention some of the options available with both the burger and fries. We only find out after we ordered from the other server telling other guests who... More

My wife and I dine with Bobby and his amazing staff often as we drive from El Paso to either Angel Fire or Albuquerque. Consistent quality food cooked to order along with an unforgettable atmosphere. Bobby is down to earth in spite of his win in the encounter with Bobby Flay. We enjoy talking to him and experiencing his quick... More

We arrive about 10 minutes before they opened but the chef saw us and came out and waved us on in. We picked a table and looked over the menu though I already knew I wanted their green chile cheeseburger. A waiter came by and took our order right away. This is an eclectic little bar, very interesting décor and... More

Have been stopping by the Buckhorn for a few years (after years of visiting The Owl across the street before someone suggested the Buckhorn). It's an award-winning burger joint that deserves the bragging rights of beating Bobby Flay's Burger smack down and Food Network exposure. The main star: - Green Chile burgers (with or without cheese). The warm and friendly... More
