Nice to see a vegetarian option for all the burgers. I had the veggie green chilli cheeseburger with fries. It was delicious. Hot and spicy 🔥

We stopped for lunch it was warm enough to sit outside. We sat by the heater which was perfect. My spouse had a GCCB which was huge. It was a half pound pattie with tasty green chiles. He thought it was great. I had a...whole bean burrito with green chiles inside it was perfect the beans & chiles were great. Our server Melanie provided excellent service. We have driven by here numerous times so glad we stopped. It was so good we went back the next day.More

Amazing. The GC burger was juicy, massive and absolutely delicious. We had fries and onion rings and both were outstanding. We will definitely go back on our way home. The guy that was disappointed in another review must not have been at the same restaurant...we went to.More

It was recommended to me by a local, so I drove 15 minutes from Socorro to try their burger with green chili. The place was packed! It took a long time to get my order and the burger was excellent indeed. The fries burned to...a brown crispy state were even more delicious. Not a life changing experience but an excellent meal anyway.More

It was one of the best burgers I've ever had: abundant in size and well seasoned. Although they don't cook them medium rare, it was extremely juicy. Fries were homemade, good, and not too salty. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I only had...one complaint. Shortly before arriving, Google Maps had disconnected, and we needed Wi-Fi service to reconnect. I did a Wi-Fi search on my phone. It showed Buckhorn T service, Buckhorn T inside, and Buckhorn T outside. I asked the manager for one of the passwords. He said, "Our Wi-Fi Is for point of sale only." So much for friendly customer service.More

I do not like to go out to eat but when I do I like a good burger. The Green Chili burger does not disappoint. The only burger I do not put anything on and eat as is. But it is a hamburger - I...would not drive out of my way to eat a hamburger. I had a whopper later that week at the airport - almost as satisfying to be honest. The fries this time were still tasty as usual but a bit too limp for my liking. But I do like the ambiance (local watering hole vibe) when it is not crowded (we came at 2pm on a wednesday). Service was perfect, as usual.More

This is the perfect example of a true dive bar. I saw the server mess up three tables orders while I was there. She even gave one table their check before they even got their food and they had to ask for that. She brought...me someone else's food. The burger tasted like a McDonald's burger. 1/5.More

Okay now. What the hell happened to this place?? Different owners, right?? I was in there June 2023 with 2 of my friends who are from Socorro, they suggested this place, that's why I did not complain yesterday, but I will never eat there again,...the burgers are just a big fat patty, no flavor, Dry, just because your burgers are fat doesn't make them goo, I'd rather have a McDonald's burger, $50 bucks for the 3 of us, with fries, and 3 drinks, the fries are nothing special either, needless to say, do not waste your time, go across the street to the Owl Bar unless they've changed their burgers Aldo. Try Big Mike's in Belen, that's where I'm from. Not even worth the drive!More

We visited this place after going to the Trinity Site. We met a couple and they joined us. We had a wait, because it was Trinity Site Day, but it was nice weather and we waited outside. We all had the green chili cheeseburger and...cold beer. Service was very good. We sat outside at a picnic table and stayed way longer than we planned, because we were having a great time! I would definitely go back.More

Everything about this place lived up to the hype. Friendly folks, warm, inviting atmosphere, fantastic food. The green chile burgers are everything and more that's been touted about them. We will be back very soon!

There's a reason that they are so highly rated, their burgers are the best, bar none! I had the Sour Dough burger and it was excellent with melted cheddar and other cheeses on toasted sour dough bread!

I’ve eaten green chile cheeseburgers all over New Mexico and had not made it to the Buckhorn until today. Admittedly I had high expectations, in the end I was sort of disappointed. Atmosphere is fine and service is excellent. The hamburger meat itself was close...to perfect. The bun was dry-dry and fell apart right away. There was too much lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, and lots of mustard…the burger was like a mound under the bun. The hand cut fries tasted good but we’re limp, would like a little crunch along the edges. Would I come back? Maybe. But much prefer the Owl across the street.More

Got there right at opening (11:00 AM) and was told to pick a table. We all (3) had the Buckhorn Burger which was outstanding. I ordered onion rings which turned out to be as good as I've had anywhere! This place is so well known...that between Noon and 1 PM you'll have to wait to be seated as the get packed. That's why we always arrive around 11:00.More

It was bad enough to wait over 18 minutes without being acknowledged, but diners arriving some minutes after we had been waiting - two different groups - were waited on, still without our being noticed. We went across the street to the Owl, where we...had our food served in less time than we had waited at the Buckhorn. They have plenty of room for inside eating, unlike BH, where only a few can fit inside and most eat outside in an old parking lot. The food is good in both establishments, but the Owl has good, fast service without waiting in the cold.More
