We stopped here for lunch on Aug 8th. We all ordered Cowboy Burgers with fries. I ordered sweet potato fries with mine and it came out with regular fries. I told the waitress and she quickly got me an order of sweet potato fries, which were cooked to perfection. The burgers were very fresh, juicy and delicious. When we got... More

Awesome family breakfast stop. Staff was so friendly! Our kids got the "mini" chocolate chip pancakes but they were bigger than their faces! Huevos rancheros so delicious and the biscuits and sausage gravy were light and fluffy with spicy gravy. Yum!

So glad I went! Didn't realize they closed after lunch, thankfully we made it for breakfast! I ordered the Hot Rocks and Texas Butter, knowing I couldn't eat it all. Our waitress offered up a half order, which I wouldn't have thought of, and I really appreciated that. The atmosphere was great! Several locals that seemed to be regulars, and... More

This gets 3 stars as a compromise...my BLT was 'interesting'...who ever heard of chicken fried bacon? the sweet potato fries were soggy. The 'Cowboy" special was hard to mess up (eggs, toast, meat and potatoes). The Spanish omelet was excellent. Service was good, atmosphere was quaint. We would go back (but I would order something different for sure)

This small cafe has the vibe of a Texas diner--Horse theme and barn decor. Our food was served hot and delicious. Service was good and our waitress was charming. Looking forward to gong again before we leave town

This is exactly the type of place you expect to find in the Roswell, New Mexico's of the world. Large burgers, chicken fried steak, a burrito or two, some sandwiches, a large glass of cold iced tea and pleasant employees. The food was simply excellent for this type of food. You can expect large portions at good prices of rural... More

Small hole in the wall restaurant with everything you need for a great meal. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, but that food.....!! Started with the chicken fried bacon. This is perfection on a plate. Comes with the creamiest red eye gravy I've ever had. Could've just spooned that in my mouth and been happy. Crunchy, delicious crust around bacon. What's not... More

Great food, fun atmosphere, best green chile sauce so far on the trip. Small place but great service and tasty food. Would definitely eat there again!

When I go to Roswell, I plan my travels around having time for lunch at the Cowboy Cafe. Great burgers, fries, and PIE! I've never been for breakfast, but I understand the huevos rancheros are also hard to beat. Friendly service and owners. Since the food is made fresh and it's a very popular place, it can sometimes take a... More
