I was in need of a "Chinese fix" for dinner tonight. Letting my finders do the walking on google, I searched for chinese in Rio Rancho. Several well known places popped up. Not wanting fast food, nor "good but predictable", I checked out Tao Chinese Bistro's website. The menu looked interesting. So, on my way home, I stopped by. Place... More

My wife and I started to eat at Tao when we first moved into Rio Rancho,NM 5 years ago. We liked the food and it was always well prepared and the service was good. We had been going there 2-3 times per month. One night about 3 years ago we ordered a dish of supposedly boneless duck and found that... More

The food is phenomenal for take out, but the atmosphere is bland at best. I never see people dining in.

We got takeout for dinner and were very disappointed in this experience. The sesame chicken should be called sesame bread - the description states "lightly breaded" and it was very heavily breaded. The picture that is included were all pieces that had no chicken in them. The flavor was good but that was it. There was supposed to be rice... More

The magic of Tao's is that it isn't just the best Chinese food in Rio Rancho, but some of the best anywhere I have been. It reminds me of stopping at restaurants in Chinatown in San Francisco. Their keys seem to be fresh ingredients and, unlike a lot of other similar restaurants, their sauces are not designed to overpower the... More

This restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The food and service was outstanding. The interior of the restaurant is clean, modern and extremely calming. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be going back soon!

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. Although in a strip center, the restaurant space has a calming, slightly sophisticated vibe. Nicely decorated with cloth napkins, nice silver, dishes and the most beautiful hot tea service. Every dish had a unique spin and flavor and were simply delicious. Although I live in the heights and... More

Last night 4 of us went to dinner at Tao's for the first time. We ordered 3 appetizers and 2 dinners: BBQ Ribs, Tempura Shrimp, Vegetable Egg Rolls, Chow Fun with Beef & Baby Bok Choy, and Sweet and Sour Pork. Although I did not try the ribs, the couple who did said they were very good. The tempura shrimp... More

It is the only place to eat Asian Food on the West side of the river. My husband and I have never had a bad meal. We have been frequenting this establishment since they opened.
