If you want to get a flavour of Hungary both in food and atmosphere then this is a good place to go. The food is tasty and the service is very good. There are lots of interesting items on display which transport you back to...old Hungary.More

We stopped here for lunch on Easter Sunday. Turned out it was the best choice of the day. We came a bit earlier before noon, and it was almost empty, but we received great service. The restaurant offered special Easter dishes and young waitrees were...dressed in folk costume. I would definetely recommend the restaurant and it's also the last restaurant before you came to Gyor and hit highway to Wien / Budapest.More

Stopped here to eat with a few friends after a day tour of the area. The menu is extensive and it seemed like you could find pretty much anything. We chose a Goulash Soup to start and a Pork dish. They were delicious. The service...was great. Very attentive. The prices were okay as well.More

The ambience is good but food is not very fresh. We ordered fish and it was dry and stale. The price for a restaurant in a small village in Hungary is a above expectation. The goulash soup was nice though.

Great place with real Hungarian atmosphere. Good Food was absolutely delicious with large servings and fairly inexpensive cost.

It's pretty hard to find quality authentic Hungarian food in restaurants. Fortunately Platán csárda is always a safe choice. It offers the best Hungarian food I've ever had in restaurant, the environment is nice, the prices are reasonable. Very recommended to visit.

The garden outside is very nice to sit. Food was quite good actually, but we waited over 1,5 hrs for without any communication from the service, which is a pity. Good for one time visit though.

We had a late lunch at Platan csarda. The service staff is very nice, also the beer was very pleasant. The main course was however rather average (which does not correspond with earlier reviews) - we had a fish filet, goulash soup and chicken breast...fried with potatos and cabbage salad. We were hungry and ate it all :) but can not say that this is hungary food experience. Standard food what you would expect from smaller willage restaurant.More

Good place and confortable to have a fast lunch on the road during a business trip. Local and traditional food; friendly service for a very cheap price. Not bad at all! See you next time!
