We love Mexican food and when the locals told us to have dinner and drinks at the La Posta de Mesilla we did. This is the most well decorated cheerful restaurant. I was amazed at the live exotic tropical birds in the lobby and creative art work. The margarita and menu selections were impressive. We talked to Troy, a proactive... More

Don't be put off by the billboards coming into Las Cruces about the restaurant - it really is very good and worth the stop. The interior seats more than you think when you first walk in, and the decor is fun. Too bad the scarlet macaw in a cage near the front is kind of cooped up, but fun to... More

This restaurant has been around for 125 years dating back to the Times of Billy The Kid and other famous outlaws and lawmen. I thinks it's important to understand that as a restaurant won't be around that long if they didn't serve great food. Speaking of food, the food they serve is quite tasty and the servers are very friendly.... More

Lots of history at this restaurant and visually appealing decor. We had chicken fajitas and margaritas. No complaints with either order. The restaurant is in an area of interesting shops which were closed when we stopped for dinner. Would be nice to stroll the area and see what the shops offered if we had gotten there a little earlier. Fast... More

La Posta is a great place to experience authentic Mexican cuisine in an Old West Mexican restaurant. The décor and ambiance will make you feel like you are in Mexico and the food will enlighten your pallet with delicious south of the border flavors. Old Mesilla is beautiful Old West town and La Posta is her crowning glory. For families... More

Historic location, easy to get to. Nice atmosphere, decent portion sizes and good food at reasonable prices, have eaten here before and will again. Plenty of rooms where large groups can dine together, good wait staff. A must visit place.
