Living near Chicago - maybe the steak capital of the world, I've enjoyed many aged steaks. The aged NY strip I had seemed pretty fresh and couldn't have been aged very long. It was a good piece of meat and the sauce was good, but I'm not sure it was as advertised.

Double Eagle has the best weekend brunch you will ever have. The food is Southwest and delicious, the surroundings are beautiful and relaxing. If the professional service and food choices don't make you think you have died and gone to heaven, then the Ghost that sits in the chair near by may make you feel a twinge of mortality. Yes,... Awesome dinner experience. Steak was one of the best I've had! The dry aged New York strip was so flavorful and tender. Staff was excellent and the history of the property is unmatched!

I was at Double Eagle for lunch and loved the sunlight filtering through while we stayed cool inside. The waitress was friendly and efficient, the food copious and delicious. I liked the fact that you could order traditional American fare as well as Mexican food. Just walking through the various parts of the restaurant fills you with pleasure: the two... More

If you need a breather from strolling through old Mesilla and just need to refresh with a drink, stop at the bar at Double Eagle. It has an old time charm and a great selection of cocktails.

Loved the place. We went with a large group and they had a separate room for us. The waitress told us a great story about the place being haunted... She's a great story teller. The food was great. The bacon wrapped Jalapeños are HOT! beware! :)

My husband and I ate here for dinner on a date night. The food was good, (recommend the chile relleno) but the atmosphere was dark, dusty and our table was ready to fall apart!! Plus the servers messed up our order twice. The waiter was kind but I am not sure we will go back. I have heard La posta... More

We enjoyed the table side Ceasar, amazing steaks and Bananas Foster (also table side). It was a splendid evening! Shout out to our server, Justine!

The food was good, but the service was terrible. It took forever to get from one phase of the dinner to the next. I wanted coffee after my meal, but I did not want to wait another hour to get it served. We waited a long time to get the check and after it finally arrived, it took about 15... More
