Wonderful owner who gave us a tour and then provided much local history and recommendations for food and galleries. Really great slice of local history in a town passed by by time and prosperity. Nonetheless, hospitality reigns.

I stopped by a couple of weeks ago (Aug 16, 2014) to find the coffeeshop has closed. There was no indication of whether it would re-open. This was one of the finest coffee and dessert stops west of the Mississippi.

Stopped at the visitor center and coffee house is next door. People were fantastic! We had the green chilie chicken stew and it was great! Chai was tasty. Great stop.

Everything is made on site by an artisan. I'm a dessert-firster and after "testing the waters" with Chess Pie, I ordered four others including a cinnamon roll. Saving room for the main course was a MAJOR challenge!! We had the spinach quiche and the one...More
