We stayed 2 nights February 28 & 29. Bill and Beverly (owners and host) were a delight. They were gracious host and a wealth of knowledge about the history of the town and county. We highly recommend the Dolan House if you want to stay...in the areaMore

We spent the night of September 16 at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our hosts were friendly and gracious, and we felt like we had made new friends by the time we left the next day. We had a delicious chicken salad lunch upon arrival....They even cooked pizza for us for dinner that night, as there are no restaurants in the little town. In the midst of a hectic schedule, it was wonderful to sit on the porch and relax for an evening.More

The Dolan house is really the only game in town for lunch, but you would never know it based on the service and the food. We were hesitant to go, but so happy we did. The restaurant is in an old historic house and the...tables are set with country lace and linens. They have a limited menu, but the food is very tasty. I had the chicken salad sandwich (no bread) and the waitress added gluten-free crackers to my plate. Very thoughtful. And the chicken salad was delicious! They also offer a delightful raspberry tea. Definitely a good place to stop for lunch in Lincoln.More

My wife and I stayed at the Dolan House on Sept. 23, 2019. Beverly and Bill (hosts) couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. The room was very tastefully appointed and comfortable. The house is charming due to their hard work over the years to...continue to make it better. Beverly is a great cook. We had lunch there upon arriving and the sandwiches were delicious and the toffee pudding cake was superb. They provide a very relaxing atmosphere, while being responsive to requests. Bill's knowledge of the history of the area adds to the stay and the charm. Highly recommended; we would return.More

I had a very enjoyable late lunch in the historic home of Mr. Dolan. I wondered what he thought as his future adversary built his store immediately across the street. The food was good and my conversation with the proprietoress was pleasant.

We were visiting the museums and decided to stop for lunch. My son and I eat gluten free and they cheerfully accommodated us with brisket and potato salad. Lunch was good and the staff was friendly. The small gift shop has some interesting items.

The only place in Lincoln to sit and have a meal, but very much worth it. A quick walk across the street from the Mercantile and up a few steps to the door. We had the brisket sandwich which is AWESOME and the bowl of...chili. Yum yum Gift shop inside too, Lincoln stuff and general gift shop and NM southwestern stuff. Also a B&B but we didn't sleep there.More

Exploring historic Lincoln County is great! We stopped for lunch at the Dolan House because it was the only restaurant open. We were delighted with the food! Very good beef brisket sandwich and BBQ sauce to put on it. Well cooked and trimmed beef. Not...too big a sandwich. Good potato salad. Our hostess was delightful and the historic house charming. They even have one B&B room.More

We stopped to inquire about a meatless meal on Good Friday. We we're warmly welcomed an assured that they would be happy to accommodate our request. We we're served two very nice salads and grilled cheese sandwiches done just right. The food was very good,...served nice and hot and the hospitality was outstanding. If I lived closer, we would visit often.More

While walking the streets of old Lincoln, stomping through the same dust that Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett stirred up, we wandered in to have lunch in the Dolan House. The menu is limited, but what we ordered was absolutely amazing. The beef stew...and cornbread were plentiful and the chicken salad sandwich was as aesthetic as it was tasty. When she brought out the bread pudding, I wanted to move in. I have had no better bread pudding anywhere in the country than right there in Lincoln. After an amazing meal, the owners treated us to some history lessons and showed us artifacts found in the house during renovations. If you go, you have to ask for the story about the toy wagon wheel. The owners are extremely polite, the decor takes you back a hundred years, and the food would make my grandmother jealous.More
