While walking the streets of old Lincoln, stomping through the same dust that Billy the Kid and Pat Garrett stirred up, we wandered in to have lunch in the Dolan House. The menu is limited, but what we ordered was absolutely amazing. The beef stew...and cornbread were plentiful and the chicken salad sandwich was as aesthetic as it was tasty. When she brought out the bread pudding, I wanted to move in. I have had no better bread pudding anywhere in the country than right there in Lincoln.
After an amazing meal, the owners treated us to some history lessons and showed us artifacts found in the house during renovations. If you go, you have to ask for the story about the toy wagon wheel. The owners are extremely polite, the decor takes you back a hundred years, and the food would make my grandmother jealous.More
