Stopped off here while traveling back home. It's a quaint, family-owned restaurant. The food was delicious. Both red chile and green chile was delicious. Two thumbs up for Original Johnny's Kitchen!

Carne Adovada is our favorite New Mexican dish (pork simmered in red chile for those who do not know). There is a spectrum of the chile hotness from "meh" to "oh my God that is hot". Theirs is just right - warm enough to be really tasty but not so much as to burn your mouth off. Order it with... More
We picked this restaurants based on the reviews. The food was great, with a friendly atmosphere and its location is right off the freeway. We tried a stuffed sopapilla which was awesome. We ended our meal with more sopapillas covered in honey. We will definitely eat here again.
Here is a simple restaurant in a nice little town. I have eaten here many times now through the years and I always get great New Mexican style food with good service and a pleasant atmosphere. I usually get something yummy smothered in their green chili. I can't say it's the best green chili I have ever eaten but it... More
My husband and I were passing through and decided to stop here for breakfast. Wow, excellent meal and great customer service. The staff was very courteous, friendly and hardly no waiting for our meal. The restaurant was packed but they were definitely ready for a large crowd. The green chile, eggs with chorizo and potatoes was the best I've ever... More
Johnny's is definately a spot that you need to try, whether you are an NM native or just passing through, just stop there. The staff is friendly , service is quick and the food is delicious. They have all of the NM favorites such as stuffed sopapillas, burritos, carne adovada, red and green chile sauce.
A friend had eaten here on a previous visit to Las Vegas, and had posted a photo of their meal. I'm a sucker for food photos, so we found Johnny's and went in prepared for a mediocre meal. Let me warn you that the place isn't fancy, but it is clean, and the food was exceptional. It was apparent that... More
Seemed to take awhile to prepare our food. Maybe that is because it was prepared after we ordered. Waitress was very friendly. Just seemed it was a little lacking in flavor and spice.
Al things happen for a reason...and today's reason was to serendipitously find a good restaurant with pleasant staff, tasty meals, walls full of Southwest history...and a good silencer for my noisy stomach after a day in the mountains. Great place to have a heart warming stomach filling meal...plus some sopapillas with honey which are a good topper for a good... More
What a great breakfast we had! I order huevos rancheros most of the time for breakfast and I was NOT disappointed at all. Very nicely flavored green and red sauce. We know we have a place to stop and eat in Las Vegas! The young man that waited on us was very nice. I was sick and he kept bringing... More
