This was my second time going here and I have to admit I was surprised by how wonderful everything was this time around. The service was also great.

This is a small, family owned, local restaurant. They have daily specials and all you can eat menudo on Saturdays and Sundays. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. I can recommend the salsa, the albondigas soup (Vegetable, meatball soup) which comes with the meal and any of the wide variety of combination plates. You will not go away hungry.... More

This place is so cool, great food, owner engaged with diners. Family joint that is very clean. The weekend menudo is outstanding. Steak tacos and baked potato is very nice. Combination plates have many choices. Their food in consistently well done and delicious. Breakfast is very good.

This is a Mexican restaurant in New Mexico. They certainly vary in style and taste. I thought the tacos of Carne asada were excellent. Great tasting and you also get a baked potato with the tacos so very filling plate. Our table also ordered a bottomless bowl of menudo which is a Mexican stew very spicey. It was rich, clean,... First of all we were greeted and asked to sit anywhere. My Family and I sat in the back. Our waiter got our drink and food orders after that we never saw him except when it was time to pay. When we did go and pay they gave us our bill which BTW it was very high for it only... More

I usually go for Taco Thursdays which means .50 cent tacos if you buy a beer or large drink. Tacos are made with beans and meat the salsa is very good. I have also had the red enchiladas there they are great. The young people that serve you are polite and attentive.

My husband and I decided to visit for the first time on a Sunday after the lunch rush. The restaurant was still full with only a few empty tables. The girl that sat us and took our drink order ended up forgetting about us so we snagged a young man who's name I believe was Sergio. He was the best... More

Stopped for a late lunch at about 2:00 on a Sunday. My wife and I both ordered combination plates with red chile and sopaipillas for dessert. Food was great, sopaipillas were even better. Meal came with Albondigas, which were good as well. Service was quick and friendly. Owners were present and visited with us. I would recommend this place to... More

We have patronized Las Trancas several times over the summer. Each time we've tried different menu items. All of the meals have been good. The pricing is reasonable and the service is relatively quick. The staff was helpful in bringing more chips and salsa whenever asked to do so. There are so many places serving Mexican Food in Las Cruces... More
